“I Teach Swimming To Kids For Free. Mom Demands That I Teach Her Son Exclusively And Give Her The Money”
1.8Mviews
When you’re a kind enough person to volunteer your own time to help kids learn to swim, the least you should expect is a little gratitude. However, there is a certain kind of mean person out there that can’t appreciate kindness for what it is, choosing to see it as a weakness to be exploited instead.
This swimming instructor from Southern India shared the shocking exchange that she had with a single mom, who appears to be just this type of entitled brat, and people can’t believe the sheer ungratefulness of it all. Making demands for swimming lessons straight off the bat, the mom immediately rings alarm bells. I mean, what better way to endear yourself to somebody you’d like to do you a favor than harass them to ‘reply faster?’ (Facebook cover image: istockphoto / Orbon Alija)

The teacher offering free swimming lessons, Reddit user u/pretent_its_witty, refers to the single mom as ‘Aunty.’ This is a common thing to do in India, as a way to show respect to people who are older than you. “She didn’t tell me what her name was, and I was in office, so I just saved it in a hurry,” she explained. “Usually, I’d save it as Aunty X or Uncle Y. This is not some common customer. I was going to see her kid at least twice a week at the swimming pool (when I agreed in the beginning). And I need to save the number of guardians of kids I am teaching.”
What becomes abundantly clear however is that this mom did not deserve a shred of the poor teacher’s respect. From demands to threats to childish insults, she tried every trick in the book to bully and manipulate the teacher into giving her exactly what she wanted. Don’t believe us? Scroll down below to check just how rude people can be, and let us know what you think in the comments!

I really hate women like this. I'm a single mom and I don't beg for anything. People like her give single mothers a bad name. Well, at least I understand why she is a SINGLE mom smh..
She doesn't beg either, she demands. That's about as bad as you can get.
I imagine that it works for her sometimes. Not this time, Aunty
The phrase "This is not fair!" is a trigger for me. Almost always signals exactly the opposite. Makes me want to slap the person.
Look at the rest of the world. Fair is sitting out in the cold until you starve to death, freeze to death, or are eaten by a predator. That's all the universe promises us.
yeah, that's not begging, its just straight up manipulative behavior.
exactly! my mom is single as well and I can not even imagine her to say something like that!
Well I don´t aprove that behavior either, but maybe she´s going through something reallly bad, maybe she wasn´t reacting to what the swiming teacher told her, but to what´s going on in her private life. I´m not saying that´s a excuse but it would be good to figure out if she needs special help. Just saying.
The conversation should have ended after the accusation of rudeness for not replying instantly to a private chat during normal office hours. The person on the left is either a sociopath or severely mentally ill, or probably both. Impressive how the instructor could stay so calm.
He probably learned to stay calm while dealing with kids and she looks like just another entitled kid having a tantrum :D
He?? The swimming teacher is obviously FEMALE!
“She didn’t tell me what her name and I was in office, so I just saved it in a hurry,” she explained. She. Why on earth would you assume it was a man? Because he had an office job???
Makes you really feel bad for children who are raised by mentally unstable parents like this woman clearly is.
Well ya she's gonna go throw him in a pool with no one around and if he drowns it's the teacher's fault...I wonder how the police would handle that explanation....
My vote is for Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
Came here to say the same. That person would have gotten blocked after trying to manipulate me and expecting me to adjust my life on her schedule
The instructor is such a nice person. I would have probably stopped answering after the first "that's rude". I would have warned her that if she ever got near me or my workplace I would call the police. And I would have blocked her number. She is obviously a kind of sociopath. I wouldn't teach her child for all the tea in China. I'm not surprised she's a SINGLE mother and her son has anxiety problems.

This is what makes me think these sorts of conversations are fake. No normal person would continue this conversation beyond the "wow that's rude".
I know far too many people on both sides to doubt its legitimacy.
So sick of people calling things fake all the time. There are plenty of people like this. Just because you haven't met any doesn't make people liars, you idiot. Grow up.
Lmao. You poor, naive person. There are plenty of people who WOULD and often DO. Get some life experience and then come back and try saying there aren't.
I would have reported her for child endangerment! She literally said she would throw her child (who cannot swim) into a pool and blame whatever happens next on the trainer. Whether she meant it or not, that type of behavior is insane.
well, if things happens she would be the got dragged by the cops and probably sent to mental hospital afterwards
I would say she said it purely to manipulate the teacher, but at the same time, she also went balls-crazy because the teacher didn't answer her immediately, more than once, and made some hellishly unrealistic and unfair demands. So I mean...I wouldn't doubt it if she really were that crazy.
