Because when we are dirrect we are accused of being, aggressive, rude, b**chy, demanding ect.

Ok so one, we are told from a young age that we are bitchy or shrill if we say what we mean. We don’t want to hold things in but social convention says we should. Two, I have no idea where this myth came from that we get mad because of stuff we dream about. It’s just not true.

If you're genuinely asking, a lot of it is because we're so used to having our feelings and desires belittled that we feel safer just not showing them in the first place. It's a bit like men who bottle up their sadness and pretend to be okay when they're not, except we're not afraid someone will think we're a wuss for being sad, we're afraid they'll think we're a crazy b!tch for having needs.

Why should a woman change her natural way of speaking to prioritize the natural way a man speaks? Men, despite history's narrative, aren't the human default. In an ideal world, men and women would meet each other 50/50 in effort in communication. It's not on the woman alone to meet a man wherever he is. He's not a child. He should work to communicate, just like she should.

It might be because, traditionally, women were discouraged from being too direct, demanding or confrontational when interacting with men? Just like men have always been discouraged from being too emotional and told to 'suck it up' or 'man up'. Society is changing, but very slowly, it seems. We all need to try harder.

So it's not typically about playing mind games. There's a whole presentation about how women's and brains actually work differently, scientifically, it's called the Tail of Two Brains, but the truth is, women's minds race. It's why we can have conversations where we discuss multiple things at the same time. Basically, we might not say what we truly mean because our brains have jumped too far ahead of our words and caused us to lose sight of what we are saying. This is especially true in a heightened emotional state. As for the dream thing, it's fear and our minds again draw all kinds of conclusions that don't make sense to men because they are made based on our past experiences, emotions, etc. It's crazy, and I highly recommend watching A Tale of Two Brains, it's amazing stuff.

Why is it that the communication style of men is considered the default "correct" mode of communication? Why is it considered "playing games" if we're communicating on a level that you insist on ignoring? Why are you requiring that we alter OUR style to suit YOUR whims? Is every Tagalog-speaking person "playing games" because you don't understand them? You are NOT "human neutral". The game is leveling up, honey - adapt or perish. Simple as that.

Asking everyone not you to adapt to your instinctive communication style isn't ideal... Dream tripping is c**p but women are different, love them or find something else

When he f***s up in my dreams, I apologize for subconsciously thinking bad things. Yeah, I'm a little bragging for a healthy relationship.

I am a very direct woman and my man still doesn't know what to do with me sometimes. Men and women think differently, and women often interconnect things that men don't. And then on both sides, when you're assuming something is intuitive or a given, it easily leads to miscommunication. Just respect each other's differences, they are strengths! Don't be mad. And believe each other when they say they are not trying to irritate you. That's a start.

I've never gotten angry at my husband for something I dreamed, though he did get angry at me once, just once, for something I did in a dream. As for the rest, how we communicate as men and women is programmed in from the time we can talk. Very hard to overcome that programming. As people become more aware of it adults will work to not program children the same way.

You are spot on. My sister does the insanity of the "mad for something done in a dream". Say what you mean and ask for clarification rather than inferring intent where there is none.

I believe women (most of the time) are taught exactly the opposite starting at a very young age. Men are expected to be direct, but when a woman does it, they are accused of being pushy, rude, aggressive, or having an attitude.

We're trained not to be demanding (social cues, tv, etc). If we say what we want, if we're strong and go get what we want, we're called b!tches, or "nags". I don't play games, but I had to find a guy that was okay with it because most actually *didn't* like it when I said what I wanted.

I grew up the only girl with 5 brothers. Might be why I never played those stupid emotional games with any of my romantic partners. I always understood guys better than many of my female friends did.

Dreamed about my now ex being with some blonde... Saw the car, bar, etc. Told him about the dream. Then he confessed he had started a "relationship" (he's married to me!) with a female that looked like I described and drove the car I saw in my dream.

I think quite a few women acknowledge their own gut feelings and intuitions, and with that, that their dreams are expressions of input they get from occurences in the waking world but can't put together. 'Sleeping on it' is a common way for peoples' brains to mull over problems and come up with solutions. I am not saying this is always good that someone give another person actual s**t for something they dreamed the other person did. But I *do* say, it doesn't hurt to sometimes examine why your feelings led your brain to think of that person in your dreams doing what they did. Then, sometimes the way our brains think can lead to utter rubbish, so take it all with a grain of salt lol!!

I do say what I mean, then my husband turns it around and thinks I mean something else. Then an argument ensues. I think it's that way with a lot of women, but not every woman. As far as dreams, I've never argued about that, can't control your dreams, women who do that are drama hungry and you stay away from them.
