Funnily enough, people can get really creative when it comes to making the person that the insult is addressed to feel more than awful. Receiving insults is not the most pleasant experience, but once all the negative feelings are gone and wounds are healed, there is surely plenty of space to have a good laugh about the mean sayings that flew out of people’s mouths. And at the end of the day, if you have your favorite compliment, there must be a favorite insult out there too.
Twitter user @NatalieZed decided to break the silence and finally find out all the nastiest things that people said to one another that were nothing but brutally honest and pretty hilarious. I've learned to laugh silently at movie theaters, if I find a dramatic moment hilarious I jiggle a lot but I don't make a sound! I hope nobody ever thinks I'm having a seizure and calls an ambulance.

My wife said the same to me a few years ago. We were at a family function watching a football game I think. Anyway the little ticker at the bottom of the screen had the alert that George Michael died. I looked right at her and said "oh no, he's never gonna dance again" In hindsight that was way too soon

I mean... it's something that actually happened and all those people did die. It's a bit like laughing at a war film. So yeah, all the people on here saying that they laughed during Titanic are kind of horrible, at least about this one thing. I did laugh, but only at the bad dialogue.
Thing is, lots of sad movies are not based on a real event. The reason I would have found this upsetting is that, obviously, as everyone knows, this was a real event, some parts are probably very similar. Those people really lived through absolute terror and hell before mostly dying horrific deaths. Those who survived were obviously scarred for life. So, probably don't laugh about it in public, especially at a screening of it, because yes, that makes you a bit of a Twat.
When I watched The Great Budapest Hotel on the cinema, I was laughing so hard at every single joke, detail (the details are great), Fienne's gimmick, that the guy seating behind me ended up laughing as well. At me I suppose, like "is she never gonna stop?".
Ah! A friend called me to tell me that his Grandmother had died, just as on (TV) Mr. BEAN was knocking out a "live" sardine on the park bench to make a sandwich! I cannot forgive myself for whooping with laughter.
I remember going to see Love Story (ugh) with a bunch of college friends (I'm old). Every woman in the theater was wearing out the tissue boxes and I sat and giggled at all the cringey romantic speeches. It was truly bad, and so was the book worse yet.
Watching "Day After Tomorrow" and the scene where the ice is chasing down the hallway? Husband and I almost rolling down the aisle with laughter. A few people started to giggle a little.
Laughed my a** off at at the end of "The Perfect Storm", it was completely spontaneous, loud, uncontrollable, and in a theater. Lots of people were mad but all I could think of was the actors, "Oh, we're drowning, BOO-HOO-HOO! Tell my family I love them" ☹😭. While they're really in a big fish tank and slowly kneeling.
Idk why but I always laugh when something gorey or "heart-breaking" happens on screen. I know that it's not because I'm trying to cope with the awkwardness/sadness, I just... find it funny ig xd

I don't know if this is the case for this person, but some people can't help themselves from inappropriately laughing during tense or emotional moments. They can't help themselves. But...there are also some people who are just jerks.
I saw Meet Joe Black in the theater, and when Brad Pitt gets hit by the car and kind of bounces off the other car I couldn't stop the laughter that erupted from me. I was the only person laughing. I was very alone in that theater.

Somehow this movie gets me every time. Not the love story or that Jack dies or something like that but the mother and her two children or the old couple on the bed waiting to drown... I know there is no way of knowing if there were scenes like that on the actual Titanic but just the knowledge of how many people in third class absolutely knew the ship was sinking and they would die because there was no way out for them. But nevertheless I wouldn't be mad at someone laughing in the cinema. As long as they don't talk I am fine.

In Canada's infamous Tim Hortons coffee shop there is one day a year called "Camp Day" where proceeds go to help children experience going to camp.
