30 Things Employees Absolutely Hate And Love About Their Customers, Shared In This Online Group Dedicated To Subway
The chances of visiting a Subway at least once in a lifetime are pretty high. Whether trying to find something fast to eat and stumbling upon the green and yellow signs quickly and efficiently dealing with your hunger, or searching for hangover relief—this sandwich palace seems to always be nearby when you need it. And it’s run by the glorious sandwich artists, toasting your bread, spreading the tuna mayo and complementing everything with scrumptious chipotle sauce.
It’s no surprise that out of all the fast food chains out there, Subway has a dedicated community on Reddit with 16.2k sandwich artists—talking, sharing, and loving (as well as hating) everything to do with the birthplace of your footlong chicken teriyaki dreams.

A Customer Just Left This On A Table For Me. I Was Having A Really Crappy Day, And This Made My Day
The truth is that even the best seasoned employees eventually start hating the customers for doing certain things and they are sharing their love/hate relationship with their customers online. Bored Panda has picked the funniest, tastiest, most hateful and most loving posts to illustrate this well-known establishment.
Customers Trying To Find Something Wrong With Their Sandwich
Duh
So true... My cousin worked as an employee at Subway, and she had so many people who demanded to have an order before the store closed. And I mean 5 minutes before it closed

Subway adds spinach like it's a garnish. I always request more, and they add one or two more leaves like it's gold leaf.

Having worked in electrical retail, I find is hard to work out why some customer felt the need to share random bits of information about their lives or themselves with someone they've never met before.

That’s not fair. We don’t get avocado here in their. If we did > I’ll have a foot long avocado please, with extra avo sauce
Many of these customers are accidentally me.. :( Social anxiety + trying your best to please the worker (like thinking that saying the whole order with veggies etc right away would be good) + problems with desicion making = I like to order online without human interaction...
Many of them make the workers sound very petty and unkind. I get that ordering 6 sandwiches a minute before closing time is not ok, but ordering in the wrong order???
This can be avoided by just not going to subway. I can confirm, it works great.
God I forgot how annoying customer service used to be when I worked in the States. I live in a European country now where people are super chill. Even at the Burger King. If people don't have something, they ask gently and wait. There's no yelling, no cussing. God I do not miss being shat on because people think customer servers have no feelings
This kind of attitude is why people don’t think you guys deserve more money. Being angry that customers order a salad? Don’t know exactly how to order things? Sorry we aren’t all crappy sandwich experts.
Idk about this... if a place is open til 9 it's open til 9. Why is it wrong to go in and order something just before they close? They must have very bad planning if they can't deal with that.
I work at Chipotle. Basically the same deal. The worst for me is not saying you have more orders until the very end and we have started with another costumer. Also list off everything you want because I don't have the best memory and I feel bad asking them to repeat several times
I usually agree with a lot of Bored panda posts but no.... you are paid to do a job....your duties are written into the contract... so I'f someone wants 3 cheese toppings with spinach and anchovie guts then you do it! Because it's your job!!!! It might not be the best job but it's a job and you can always work towards better job and future for yourself! Just stop whinging when customers ask you to do your job!
I rarely eat lunch at a regular time, as a result the store is often well staffed and empty when I walk in. This makes for an above average subway experience. :-)
I can imagine how frustrating working at a takeaway restaurant like this can be... too many chooses for waffling customers. I stopped eating Subway when the young woman serving me used two sets of plastic gloves to complete my order when I, on principle, refused the plastic bag for the well-wrapped sandwich... found that very wasteful.
I find that these issues stem from people lacking the absolute basic organizational skills. It's like they can't even keep their own thoughts in order to draw a conclusion or make a decision. Can't get their ducks in a line, as a manner of speaking. I don't know how it has come to this. I cannot fathom living like that.
