So this list from Bored Panda serves as a crucial reminder to keep our eyes on the road for any bizarre, unexpected, and plain dumb sightings. Like this crazy person who drives cross-legged or this driver who holds a plate with a fork in what seems to be a fancy rendezvous dinner while driving.

Luckily, one in four drivers thinks that roads are safer today than they were before the pandemic. However, alarmingly, a growing number of respondents reported using their mobile devices in unsafe ways while driving, including:
- Texting or emailing (26%, up from 19% pre-pandemic).
- Checking social media (20%, up from 13% pre-pandemic).
- Taking videos and pictures (19%, up from 10% pre-pandemic).
- Shopping online (17%, up from 8% pre-pandemic).

I've heard of people parking in those spaces and then the disabled driver can't access the wheelchair ramp or even bring the wheelchair up to the car to transfer into the car. Com'on, people! Both cars are wrong. The guy on the right is over the line and the guy on the left is not centered within his spot either. They are made a certain width not so you can park like these idiots, but so you can park and have room to open doors on both sides.

You're a f*****g moron. I was in my local bakery when this hugely overweight woman comes storming in ranting about the "little silver car" (mine) being improperly parked. She was having a fit because she couldn't get into her car. I looked out the window and see that MY car is perfectly centered in the parking space, but hers is angled so that the driver door is literally almost touching my car. Now, ya'll know I wasn't having any of her bullshit. So I basically told her the fact that she didn't know how to park & was too f*****g fat to get into her vehicle really wasn't my problem - and then proceeded with my transaction. She was inconvenienced for all of 90 seconds. Stupid cow.
Sometimes you are forced to do a bad job at parking because the previous cars next to you were the the ones that stuffed up leaving you no choice.

Ever drive to a gym and all the cars are parked as close to the entrance as possible ? Would it totally exhaust someone to walk a few extra steps before and after exercise? Plus cars parked tightly together are more likely to be targeted for theft. The bad guys are more easily hidden.

Same thing happened to me. Mine was the ONLY car in an otherwise completely empty underground parking lot. When I came back, there was a second car: about an inch left of mine! There were about 200 empty spots around us. I had to get in through the passenger side. Then the idiot returned and couldn't understand why I wasn't happy with his parking job.
She's right. You do have to be aware so you can avoid parking next to careless drivers like her.

How do these people even pass the driving test? Well, some of them probably didn't and are driving anyway. The ones that blow me away are the ones that managed to get not only a driver's license, but a CDL.

This topic proves again what I've been saying for years now: include a psychological evaluation and an IQ test in the entire process of getting a drivers license. Just too many fools get a license to endanger the public with a 2 ton killing machine.
I hate it to drive a car. Even if everyone drives careful, sober and prudent and all cars are maintained very well, suddenly out of nowhere 'POOF' there is a wasp in your or the car behind you frightening the driver. Or a deer on the street, or or or.. From one second to the next, your life can change completely or just simply stop. It's naive, but I just hate it!
I was taught to drive 'defensively' and it's saved me from a few crashes I'm sure. It basically means you assume every other car on the road doesn't know it's road rules. So if they are indicating, don't go out in front of them until you see them actually turning. Same for people who are meant to give way to you: be prepared for them to come out in front of you anyway. I even used this on my full licence test, on a roundabout and a car pulled out onto the roundabout as I approached it. I was able to stop in time, but the guy next to me testing me went white and shouted out the window at the woman :D I think he was pleased with my driving after that seeing as I avoided a huge risk

I have epilepsy and don't drive, but there are many people with active seizures who do. Such idiots who aren't drunk, aren't doing dumb things with their cars, just knowingly doing something that could cost people their lives.
