So this list from Bored Panda serves as a crucial reminder to keep our eyes on the road for any bizarre, unexpected, and plain dumb sightings. Like this crazy person who drives cross-legged or this driver who holds a plate with a fork in what seems to be a fancy rendezvous dinner while driving.

Luckily, one in four drivers thinks that roads are safer today than they were before the pandemic. However, alarmingly, a growing number of respondents reported using their mobile devices in unsafe ways while driving, including:
- Texting or emailing (26%, up from 19% pre-pandemic).
- Checking social media (20%, up from 13% pre-pandemic).
- Taking videos and pictures (19%, up from 10% pre-pandemic).
- Shopping online (17%, up from 8% pre-pandemic).

Why wouldn’t Dispatch have just given them the non-emergency number to call and report it, if 911 is strictly for emergencies only? Wherever this poor soul lives, there are a lot of unhelpful assholes in jobs where they’re supposed to serve the public. I get it, but sometimes things like a stolen license plate get pushed down to the bottom of the priority list when you're understaffed and dealing with shootings, burglaries, domestic violence calls and drunk driving accidents.

I wonder what state, This happened to me in California and all I had to do was drive over to the police station sign a police report and go to AAA and pick up a new one, took all of 1/2 an hour and $23. I suspect a drama queen.
Well, calling the emergency number (911) is not what should have been done, unless it was an actual emergency. Other than that, it sounds like the normal bureaucratic bovine scatology that is the D.M.V. Edited to add: Even calling the non emergency number doesnt mean the police will come and fill out a report. How do these people even pass the driving test? Well, some of them probably didn't and are driving anyway. The ones that blow me away are the ones that managed to get not only a driver's license, but a CDL.

This topic proves again what I've been saying for years now: include a psychological evaluation and an IQ test in the entire process of getting a drivers license. Just too many fools get a license to endanger the public with a 2 ton killing machine.
I hate it to drive a car. Even if everyone drives careful, sober and prudent and all cars are maintained very well, suddenly out of nowhere 'POOF' there is a wasp in your or the car behind you frightening the driver. Or a deer on the street, or or or.. From one second to the next, your life can change completely or just simply stop. It's naive, but I just hate it!
I was taught to drive 'defensively' and it's saved me from a few crashes I'm sure. It basically means you assume every other car on the road doesn't know it's road rules. So if they are indicating, don't go out in front of them until you see them actually turning. Same for people who are meant to give way to you: be prepared for them to come out in front of you anyway. I even used this on my full licence test, on a roundabout and a car pulled out onto the roundabout as I approached it. I was able to stop in time, but the guy next to me testing me went white and shouted out the window at the woman :D I think he was pleased with my driving after that seeing as I avoided a huge risk

I have epilepsy and don't drive, but there are many people with active seizures who do. Such idiots who aren't drunk, aren't doing dumb things with their cars, just knowingly doing something that could cost people their lives.
All I can say is "Good grief, people stay away from me" I'm to old to die in a car wreck.
