I've been seeing this everywhere. I honestly think that people who have never worked in fields where they have to use gloves regularly, where they know all about glove safety, just don't understand it. That and finding gloves is like panning for gold in pond water right now. I had an easier time finding toilet paper.
I think it's time to explain simply to people and tell them "imagine the virus is like s**t. " Because he had s**t in his gloves, I think he would act differently ... Maybe ... I hope....

In America, we walk around all day with poop on our butts because bidets aren't a thing here and dry toilet paper just doesn't cut it, even for a "clean" poop. I've watched women in public restrooms just drizzle some water over their hands before leaving and touch the same dirty surfaces on the way out that they touched on the way in. Nauseating.
So how many wash their hands before they eat, home or else where. Drives inn, NO, restaurants, NO, home NO. Does it matter if the hands are gloved or not? ? ?
I don't wash my hands before I eat at home, mostly because I almost never leave the house (and right now I'm washing them as soon as I return home, if I do happen to leave).

They sniggered an dsneered and laughed openly at the questions and the mask and gloves and soap and water, mimed wiping their butt before putting their hand on a door, and that, btw, was before they got past the *lobby*. Security ejected them. Person then raised a huge fuss about his "rights". Yeah, well, we hav ea right to *live*, thanks... Oy.

I can not say this enough: COVID19 is real and it is very serious. Please stop joking around and having to hang out with your friends and just stay home. We will get through this a lot faster if people would just do what is asked of them by health professionals. Unless you have to be out, just stay in your house.

It's ironic how the same people who call cashiers "heroes" are quick to judge them and call them morons and eagerly take photos of the, how stupid they are for not using the safety equipments as intended (because maybe they've been wearing them for the past 10 hours continously).
Experts have stated that the point of wearing masks is to keep the wearer from SPREADING the disease, not getting it. Covering your nose with anything less than an N95 mask doesn't do anything. Most of those shown with noses uncovered are wearing surgical or dust masks but by covering their mouths they are keeping others safe. btw- a Lancet study showed that asymptomatic carriers can be contagious by up to 8 weeks.
Well the upside of the covid-19 virus is that its helping to weed out the stupid.

The most important rule to follow to prevent the spread of this (or any just about any other) disease is to isolate yourself. If you're sick, stay at home - not one single person out there wants your pestilence no matter what the payoff. Conversely, if you're not sick and for whatever reason you don't want to risk infection, stay at home - your mileage may very, but contagious individuals tend not to just wander in your door. Maybe now people will start acting courteously when they have a cold or flu and stay the hell away from me.
People seem to think gloves are either magic or somehow kill the virus on contact. They don't, they're just an extra skin that pick up the virus in exactly the same way as your own skin.

Most people can’t get access to proper PPE right now, making some attempt to restrict access to their mouth and nose might be the best they can do because they have no option but to keep going to work. Especially in America where basic worker protections and welfare provisions are non existent and you can get sacked for trying to organise.

So.. if there was still ANY doubt. Humans are the problem. I don't mean that like "we are the virus" (even though we are) bu I mean, the reason the virus spreads like crazy, is because humans can't even do the simplest thing right.
Regarding the masks not covering the nose - when I'm talking for a while, the mask tends to slip down under the nose, and I have to readjust it. I was just talking about it with a colleague who has the same problem. That could be the case with some of the people in these pictures. Of course, it's hard to tell from a still image whether that's the case or they're actually just wearing the masks improperly.
I actually can see the dumbasses in my grade doing this, and thinking they are "cool" for having friends over while calling it "quarantine".
