Hey at least you care enough to cover your face. I hate watching the idiots that wear the mask and only cover their mouth. I mean common sense saying you breathe through your nose and your mouth. I had some guy look at the clerk ugly because they didn't have their mask covering their nose and the clerk told him he needed to cover his face right or he needs to leave. It’s the same in Sweden. The only place it seems people think twice is in the cash queue. Very few use masks OR keep distance, but make snarky remarks and smears at those who have and do try to keep distans. We have old people getting out in stores at times the most other people go there and they stares angrily at you to say “stay away you filthy person!” but THEY could have chosen another time AND wear protection gear as they are in most danger. And the store owners could do soooooo much more then send out reminders with bored voices in the speakers. “For your and our staffs safety”. Yeah, fine when even the staff gives a s**t.

Just amazes me every day how downright IDIOTIC a tragic event like COVAD19 brings out the worse in some peeps. Fortunately, I live in a very small community, and though we live in one of the most beautiful mountain communities in the West, and fortunately, lots of land between neighbors, we use FACEBOOK each and every day to keep in touch.

Man, that reminds me of the jerk in my boyfriend's store. My chosen mom had made us black masks with skulls and cross bones to liven things up a bit. Old dude and his wife, sporting a MAGA hat, gave him a dirty look saying: "There would have been a time when going out like this in public would have gotten you arrested." BTW, did I mention that this was at an AT&T store, where they were browsing, since these stores offer neither tech support, nor phone support, they are just there to sell you contracts.

Ideally masks should be worn by sick people (again ideally staying at home if they had resources to help them, that is not the reality for most), but with the novelty of the coronavirus we’re learning as we go and it does not help that incubation period is long as 2 weeks. Even asymptomatic carriers can spread to many until they even experience symptoms if at all. Also pooor poor personal hygiene and public health programs, forcing sick people to work. The shortage of PPE for those at the frontlines have shown how much we failed them. There are people in quarantine sitting on supplies that can go to those who need it more and can do more good with them.
The average time a mask will work is only 20 minutes? I Do Not Believe That. In the very slight possibility that you have a source, and please, that source must be from valid research, not an obscure facebook account, and it must also cite under what conditions the mask is used. It is a different ball game altogether if the mask is used to avoid breathing in soot while cleaning a chimney or if it is worn while shopping for groceries. Please Stop Spreading False Info!

Experts have stated that the point of wearing masks is to keep the wearer from SPREADING the disease, not getting it. Covering your nose with anything less than an N95 mask doesn't do anything. Most of those shown with noses uncovered are wearing surgical or dust masks but by covering their mouths they are keeping others safe. btw- a Lancet study showed that asymptomatic carriers can be contagious by up to 8 weeks.
Well the upside of the covid-19 virus is that its helping to weed out the stupid.

If you're sick, stay at home - not one single person out there wants your pestilence no matter what the payoff. Maybe now people will start acting courteously when they have a cold or flu and stay the hell away from me.

So.. if there was still ANY doubt. Humans are the problem. I don't mean that like "we are the virus" (even though we are) bu I mean, the reason the virus spreads like crazy, is because humans can't even do the simplest thing right.
Regarding the masks not covering the nose - when I'm talking for a while, the mask tends to slip down under the nose, and I have to readjust it. I was just talking about it with a colleague who has the same problem. That could be the case with some of the people in these pictures. Of course, it's hard to tell from a still image whether that's the case or they're actually just wearing the masks improperly.
