From the masterminds behind the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, the competition is calling on all pet owners or animal lovers to submit images of funny furry (or not so furry) friends for a chance of winning £3,000 and being named the 2020 Mars Petcare Comedy Pet Photographer of the Year.
Supported by Mars Petcare, the Comedy Pet Photo Awards launched in celebration of the world's pets. The competition will be raising money for UK pet charity Blue Cross to assist it in its mission of finding happy homes for abandoned or unwanted pets.

This reminds me of a bee dance to show the hive where to find the food.
At a time when most of us are spending more time with our pets than ever, this competition aims to encourage professionals as well as total amateur photographers to pick up a camera or phone and capture those funny moments with our most loved pets.

Not only will the competition aim to showcase the incredible impact pets can have on our lives, which has been brought to the forefront during this challenging time, but it will also look to raise awareness around homeless pets in the UK, a message that is at the heart of competition sponsor Mars Petcare’s mission of ending pet homelessness.

An esteemed panel of judges, including Kate Humble, TV vet Emma Milne, and an animal welfare expert from Blue Cross, will then select the top 40 entries when the competition closes on August 31st, with the finalists being announced on September 28th. The team at Comedy Pet want to see all your pets: dogs, cats, horses, and even guinea pigs. The winner will be announced on November 19th.

The partnership will be raising much-needed funds for sick, injured, abandoned, and homeless pets across the country by donating 10% of the sponsorship fee and 10% of the £5 entry fee to Blue Cross to assist with its work on rehoming pets and providing veterinary treatment and care.

The dog with the bubble and the floating mid-prance horse are my favorites! The wolf one reminds me of all the old 'Moon Moon' stuff.
My favourites. 1) must dig a hole. 2) longcat, 3) what the?, 4) look at me I'm fabulous. But, loved them all. Made me smile.
"Wildlife" in title and then a stream of pets? This is the sad reality the world is covered with people, pets & livestock --- nothing else.
