Father And Son Showed Some Love To A Stray Cat, Next Day She Came Back With A Surprise
What seemed like an ordinary father and son’s camping trip took a cute turn when a stray cat came to their camp. The guys quickly made friends with the feline but weren’t really prepared for a starving visitor, so they improvised and caught a bluegill for a cat to feast on. But then… the cat just vanished. Until the next morning that is, when it came back bearing gifts.
“A couple hours later I wake up to some noise and go outside to check. Now instead of two eyes staring at me, I see eight glowing eyes reflecting the light from my phone,” Michael said on Imgur. Mom brought the cutest trio of kittens when she felt comfortable introducing them to the guys.
“The next morning we caught over 13 bluegills and a couple of catfish. Let’s just say by the end of the day the momma cat was stuffed.” The cat and the kittens felt right at home with their new human friends: “There is no way this cat was not domesticated the way she craves human attention.”
They knew they can’t just leave them there, so they brought all four cats home: “It’s been a week now and they love it here. My family has decided we are keeping all of them,” Michael said.
Mama cat and her babies are safe now and are actually going to visit the vet this week to get spayed and neutered. Finally, life for them seems to have taken a brighter turn.

Load More Replies...Beautiful cats, amazing humans! We took a mom cat and five kittens in summer 2014. Found homes for three (Thanks to Animal Defense League Arizona) and added mom and two kittens to our five other rescued cat crew. Never a dull or lonely moment.
I love the picture of the cat waiting while he fishes for a snack! 😍
Just for future reference, when you find a stray animal with no collar, you should always bring it into a vet office to check for a chip. They probably did this, but it is good to mention anyways since the author didn't specify whether they had or not.
I also saw a stray cat... It didn't like me lol ( ;^ o ^; ) nice story!
I'm so happy they kept them! I've seen countless stories about people rescuing stray animals but not keeping them afterwards, I don't know how they couldn't!
They have their reasons. Maybe their lifestyle wouldn't allow them to take care of a pet, maybe they don't have the proper living conditions to add a pet to their household (pets require some space too, and many common people live in small places). At least, they did rescue them somehow, so they did what they could.
Load More Replies...What a great story! And a happy ending too. That was one 'smart mama'! she knew animal lovers when she saw you guys! Good 'karma' (was going to say kat-ma but thats stale isn't it? LOL :o)
How wonderful of this family to take mum and the babies in. They will be rewarded with love for the rest of their pets lives.
I think this father is a purrrfect role model for his son, and any other children,..even other adults...Karma will see this if she hasnt already,..and he will be gifted in ways he wnt even imagine, more than he already has been..as he has the gift of not being a Monster, like 98% of human population are.
Thank you very much for your kindness!!! I might be incorrect, but it looks like Momma's left ear has been tipped. That's what Vets are doing these days. When a feral/homeless cat is caught, they spay/neuter them, then release back to where it was caught. It really helps on overpopulation. You said she was so friendly, and that's just not normal for a stray, especially a new Momma. You and your family did a wonderful, wonderful thing but giving these babies a new home. God bless each of you. Thank you again and hopefully, this will inspire others to do the same!!!
Great job from the family and spaying and neutering is the perfect way to prevent more strays!
It's so great these little guys are staying together with their mamma!!
