Fashion shows are glamorous soiree – trendy or emerging designers presenting their newest collections, elite models and a bit snobby onlookers make the fashion shows as prestigious as they are. However, not even fashion is safe from a mischevious silly cat or two. Just like a walking pun come to life, a weird cat set the internet on fire when it decided to strut its stuff on the ‘catwalk.’ Yes, it all occurred at the Esmod International Fashion Show held in Emaar Square Mall in Istanbul, Turkey, much to the delight of all the cute cat onlookers.
Attendees at the event filmed the new kitty cat model clean herself and even swat her paw at the human participants, followed up by a strut-worthy of Tyra.
The fashion designer, Göksen Hakkı Ali, told The Dodo, “Everybody was in shock.” But shock factor is favored in the fashion world, so when asked if the funny cat had a future career Ali responded, “Haha, maybe, why not?” Scroll down to see the cat photos of this glorious new star own the stage!

Fashion designer Goksen Hakki Ali commented, “It’s unclear where the cat had come from, but her motives were pretty obvious — she wanted the full attention and admiration of the audience”

Just watched a documentary of turkey's stray cats not too long ago. Turkey allows strays and shopkeepers and such put out food and care for them, so they're used to walking into any building they want and even crowded restaurants or other places with tons of people
I love how he totally ignored the dress that had the shredded bottom. Guess he thought the work was already done for him.
Everybody forgot the models and started taking pics of the kitty... "Successful plan"
Kitty wasn't scared of the noise, lights, or crowds! All she needed was a little tiara for her head and a mini feather boa; she'd have stolen the limelight!
The kitty has a "cartoon" kitty on her back! Too cute! She's so friendly and looks well-cared for, I hope that someone loves her!
That is so typical of Istanbul. Cat paradise. People paradise. A wonderful story and a wonderful place.

I've seen the video, and admire how the models kept their aplomb even while the cat was trying to steal the show.
Of course the comments selected to be part of the story are filled to the brim with negativity about the clothing. I don’t understand why people who aren’t even into fashion are always judging runway so harshly when they don’t even understand the fact that it’s mostly conceptual.
Fashion should be "wearable" without ridicule. Conceptual isnt. I am into good quality, well made clothing that fits and looks good.

It’s Istanbul. Stray cat has a different meaning there. They are like community cats. People feed them and care for them. They have friends.

Last sunday mom shared the video on her face. That cat has the atittude of a model. Its obvious (s)he can be one. Btw, its the only way I can accept animal fur in a model show.

Now THAT, ladies, is how you walk the CATwalk. (And her attire was stunning as well! That little monster mark on the right side).
If one of the girls picked up the kitty, at least some eyes would be on them not just the kitten !!!
The one where the cat is looking up at the model with the jacket with the wide sleeves, looks likes like the cat's saying what the hell is that and who the the hell would wear it for real.
the cat took your eyes off those hideous clothes who would wear them , the kitty had style even did yoga , well butt cleaning, and just wanted to play so cool calm and together in a crowd, what a model
Okay, is it just me or do models nowadays just see how much they can clump up and down the runway? They used to walk with such style and grace. Is it because they are hungry and this is their way of protesting? Do they just not enjoy what they are doing?
