“Well this is certainly something I didn’t think would actually happen!” This was the reaction of 17-year-old ‘Stranger Things’ fan Damaris Fregoso, when the star of the show David Harbour (AKA Jim Hopper) gatecrashed her senior yearbook photoshoot as promised.

It all started back in October when she randomly shot David a Tweet asking how many retweets it would take for him to come and take senior photos with her. “He is definitely my favourite character on Stranger Things!” Damaris told Bored Panda. “Jim Hopper is such a funny guy, and the fact that David is the exact same way in real life was great! His interviews are also so funny so I thought yeah I definitely want to ask David this!”

To Damaris’ surprise, he responded enthusiastically and came up with what he probably thought was a high number. ”25k. And I get to wear the school sweatshirt and hold a trombone,” he said cheekily. But now it was David’s turn to be surprised. The Tweet immediately went viral, easily reaching 25k. “The fact that he even replied still shocks me till this day!” Damaris said about David’s cheeky reply.

Now many busy, high-profile celebrities might be tempted to dismiss the whole thing as a joke, and fudge the bet by sending a cheesy signed photograph or something instead. Not our Hopper. Three months after the initial Tweet, the photos are out and they prove that he really is a man of his word. “David was such a down to earth guy! He was so genuine and sweet hearted,” Damaris told Bored Panda. “He even stayed after to take a photo with my sister, her boyfriend, and my baby nephew! That was so sweet! OH! Also he played the trombone a bit as well, everyone was so shocked he even knew how to play it! His publicist didn’t even know he played, it was so hilarious!”
