Woman Records This Stranger Leading A Parade Of Dogs, Cats, And Birds Down The Street, And The Scene Looks Magical
Dilara İlter from in Istanbul, Turkey, uploaded a video to Twitter in 2017 but people are still watching it. And why wouldn’t they? The clip shows a spectacular scene Dilara witnessed through her parents’ window: on the street below, a woman was leading a parade of dozens of animals — cats, dogs, and birds; all were eagerly following the mysterious person as if she was a Disney princess.
“The woman was walking very calmly,” Dilara told Bored Panda. “That lady is from my parents’ neighborhood, and my mom told me she’s a foreigner.”
“Every other day, she gathers stray animals around and feeds them, but at the time of recording the video, I didn’t know about this. The moment I saw her walking like that, I thought she was a wizard, with so many crows and cats.”
Here’s the full video

Dilara said her mom tried to talk to the lady after the video went viral, but she was shy because she couldn’t speak Turkish well, so the conversation couldn’t proceed much.
A year later, Dilara spotted the same woman, and the animals were still following her

Apparently, every other day, the woman gathers stray animals around to feed them and these parades still continue
Turns out, the animals know her. “I know that she feeds the animals on this street very often, which is a very common behavior in Turkey,” Dilara explained. “In Istanbul, we love and care for stray animals, especially cats. They’re the symbol of the city.” If you need more proof, check out Bored Panda‘s article about Gli, the cat that is permanently living in the Hagia Sophia.

Crows are highly intellegent animals and have excellent memory. That's why they may attack the same person but not others. There's an interesting youtube video that shows a group of researchers doing a study on crows.
Load More Replies...I always told my children the that animals know which humans are bad or nice. So they were so happy if stray cats, birds, butterflies, etc. Stop by our house.
Love it. When I lived overseas I budgeted 300 dollars per month to feed all the strays. Then I started to realize some of them had medical issues, so I tried to pay for all of that. Finally I linked up with a local TNR group, and after working out the language barriers, I was able to donate some more money to the efforts overall and over time get all the feral cats TNR'd. They knew my car sound, they recognized my voice, and when I didnt say anything at all, they must have known my perfume. They would all pop out of trees and shrubs and would come running when I got home. I think I had over 30 I was feeding at one time.
Lisa, you are an extraordinary human being. Thank you for all you have done/doing for animals. If all people were like you, life would be very different on this planet for all of us - not just for animals, but us humans as well. Compassion breeds compassion. Cruelty breeds cruelty. The link between animal cruelty and violence against people is undeniable!! Why don't people get it???
Load More Replies...I will now try to buy little sardine cans for the neighborhood cats (if my mom lets me)
The exceptional human beings - the extraordinary people who care about animals don't just quit a year later. Please be one of them (us) do what ever you can, support reputable - legitimate animal protection/rights organizations, speak out against animal cruelty by signing and sharing petitions, support your local humane animal shelters, adopt animals from shelters, don't buy them from greedy, heartless, cruel, evil breeders, spay or neuter pets, put pressure on your local governments to take care of stray animals by building shelters, having spay/neuter clinics.... there's a lot what every single person can do. Please, do not forget that farm animals are sentient beings too. Adopt plant based (vegan) diet - your body, our planet, and unconscionably tortured animals will thank you for it. It is the win - win - win survival situation. Thank you for your compassion. P.S. It is easy to be vegan; there are many plant-based protein products (meats, dairy, eggs) on the market, try them!!
While beside horrible, abusive, idiot people there are more than some gold hearted people who feed daily stray animals, some open their houses to them especially the disable ones and in general they are not wealthy - in money but they find ways, really try hard. I'm so proud of them.
How do you feel, Veronica? And how do you feel when you kill your farm animals or send them to slaughterhouse? Please, tell.
