Have you ever heard someone say that their life is “like a movie” because of all the unbelievable things happening to them? Movies are indeed as good as their ability to leave a viewer shocked, touched or in consideration. And of course, I guess most of us have that friend or we are that friend that loves to be a “movie critic”, pointing out every little detail that is wrong in the movie. Characters going straight into a deadly trap, stopping their car in the woods in the middle of the night, then running like Usain Bolt himself from death, and of course, managing to escape it. Sometimes the movie plot is so involving that we might not notice some little details that make the movie scenario less relatable to real life.

Having this in mind, Reddit users shared their Shower Thoughts on some strange movie plot choices that actually make sense in real life. From Bruce Almighty changing the way we spell B-E-A-UTIFUL to kids sent to die in a fight in The Hunger Games, showing that this was actually a pretty common practice throughout our history.

if we used old people instead, the wars would be shorter and the young could still learn and outgrow the supposed need for war in the first place. it's always the older generation passing their hate along to the new. we just gotta flip the script

The movie was just a technical showcase for some fancy new cameras and special effects. At no point after watching was I thinking, "Man, I can't wait or a sequel!" Apparently at least two sequels are being shot concurrently. Avatar is "Dances with Wolves in Space," and "Dances with Wolves" is the better movie.

Merchandising is likely the reason Avatar is a non-entity in pop culture. There were some toys released but they were a bust. Star Wars for instance had everything, toys, clothes, cups, plates, bedsheets, cereal you name it. One could say though Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom inclusion of 'Pandora the World of Avatar' has kept it somewhat relevant.

Why on Earth would there be carbon monoxide under the stairs? Do you mean carbon dioxide?

Star-Lord from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies probably still thinks Santa is real. He was taken from Earth as a kid and then raised in space around aliens and crazy creatures the rest of his life. He probably assumes Santa is an alien.

He's the Eternal, Kronos. Has the ability to stop time so he can be everywhere at midnight, has an antlered pet (Lockjaw) that can teleport, and access to the dwarves of Nidavellir to build whatever he needs.

In Despicable Me, the entrance to the villain bank is in the middle of three urinals, which makes sense because no sane person would use the middle urinal to avoid being right next to someone while peeing. Plus only a villain would use the middle urinal to create the chaos anyway.

This is not mentioned in movies, but is explained in the books. JK Rowling addresses the creating food issue in the Deathly Hallows book. I would need to look it up for accuracy, but when Harry and Hermione are alone in the woods starving after Ron left, Rowling made it very clear that wizards and witches cannot create food using magic. They can use magic to manipulate food such as cooking and cleaning, but she makes it very clear that there is no spell or magical device that can create food from nothing. She also explains why the food appears so quickly in such large quantities and is cleaned immediately in Goblet of Fire book. It is the elves making, delivering, and clearing the food. It's explained the work makes them happy. Hermione is of course horrified by this and starts the Society for Promotion of Elfish Welfare (SPEW). It is a shame they could not fit that into the movie. So it is not that they can end world hunger choose not to, they just can't create food with magic.

Hogwarts’ assignments on 3 or 4 feet of parchment seem really long until you realize that the length of an A4 paper is 11.7 inches. Harry constantly complained about writing a 4-page essay.

Well, you do have to write that much, and that would hurt your hand a lot, not to mention if you smudge, misspell or otherwise mess up, that would not be good...
