This Ex Papa John’s Delivery Driver Shared Her Craziest Client Story Ever, And The Way Karma Works Is Amazing
We’ve all had that crappy starter job. Where you put up with with horrible bosses, co-workers and sometimes customers. Self described ‘socially awkward’ artist Kristie Lane, online name Ristay, has published one of her autobiographical style comics again, but this time to share the “infuriating, stupid and odd odd shit” she dealt with as a Papa John’s delivery driver.
These stories are so crazy one would think they are partly fiction but Lane writes, “All of my stories are true, though I obviously exaggerate the facial expressions. I only wish I looked like a cartoon.” Scroll down below to check out her hilarious manga-inspired comics of her adventures!

Dipshit...they need to just call it a "delivery fee" and tack it on. Don't wanna pay it? Drive ya happy a*s over and get it yoself.
She's an artist and according to an article she wrote it's due from playing with liquid mercury when she was a child.

I'll just chime in, because it needs to be repeated. The problem with the rude customer is outweighed by what's wrong with the USA which is illustrated in this story. Tipping! Why? Why not adjust the prices, so employees can receive a decent wage? Driver pays for petrol. Why? Why not have the employer pay for that thru a delivery fee? And I think it's a b***h that a word like s**t has to be smeared out US f*****g hypocrisy censorship style.
In a lot of pizza places in the states, the driver uses their own car, which means they cover their own gas and (of course) their own insurance. Now, if you are driving a company car, the company would generally take care of the gas. And, unlike waitressing, most of the drivers make the hourly wage and are given a portion of the delivery fee (if the place charges one). When you aren't out on a delivery, you do things around the restaurant, such as dishes, taking phone orders, making pizza, whatever they need you to do. I worked as a delivery driver for a place here in California for three years. Loved it. Would go back in a heart beat.

Thank you! And one is "handicapped" not "handicap". I know it's persnickety but if it doesn't get noted it leads to more and more errors as readers get used to seeing it written incorrectly. I have a lot of gratitude for the volunteer grammar police out there. :)

In my country (Finland) there is not a tipping culture because everything you have to pay is already included to the price. I wonder how the people in USA know what is the appropriate amount to tip in various situations?
It's one of those things you just learn from the culture growing up, but it's usually based upon a percentage of how much the total comes out to. The percentages vary from person to person though (there are a lot of cheap people out there), but, for example, in a restaurant my dad taught me to absolutely tip good because this is someone's living and if you can't afford to tip then you really can't afford to eat out. For regular service (20%) and tip even more if the service was great (25-30%). For pizza or Chinese deliveries, I usually give about $10 for about $40-$50 dollars of food just cause I know they don't get tipped well normally. Anyways, those are just examples, but I almost always go by a percentage of 15-20% of my total bill, which is what most people are taught that go by.
Load More Replies...I always tip the pizza guy/girl. In the UK it's not compulsory, but I know the wage isn't much.
Someone above already explained this: They had read that it was caused by her playing with mercury as a child. No more specifics.
Load More Replies...Yeah I was a pizza driver back in high school and the freakiest thing to happen to me was when the guy pulled a shotgun on me. So yeah, could have been way worse.
Love this story.. especially the comment at the very very end ( that was a girl u diphit) 😂😂
Her eyes... Guysssss.. look at her eyesss.. HOW YOU CANNOT NOTICE HER EYESS....
Amazon has tried to introduce this crazy system of using your own car in Germany. So far (most) people just laughed at them. You need to be really REALLY bad at math if you think you're actually making a profit with that kind of c**p.
Poor thing.. I am glad she was able to get back. Why do people behave so s****y? It is so easy to be nice. Just be a decent person. At times, I do lose temper with people not realising they are commiting silly mistakes. But even then i realise they might have not been trained properly. I have said sorry to those who i had snapped back. It was not their fault. Be a good person. It does not cost you anything and trust me, you get more in return.
Wow. My husband used to deliver pizza and the dozens of times he was stiffed of any tip was just ridiculous. Nothing like this, though! (And I would SO like to edit this story for misspellings, misused words, etc. Not a diss on the author but still.)
That auntie needs to be b***h slapped into the next century for 1) Being cheap 2) lying about the true details of the story 3) for saying her nephew was mentally handicapped.
I'd of spit on the pizza before delivering it once I recognized the address. #donotfuckwiththepeoplewhohandleyourfood
Okay let me count costs. 37.5 dollars for gas, and 40 dollars for the pizza. and then subtract five dollars equals 42.5 dollars (oh wait) plus the total of probably phone costs = 0.99 dollars EQUALS: 43.49 dollars for her troubles. The damn pizza is 35 dollars and wont pay for 43.49 dollars
I just don't understand why that old hag had to lie and even call you a thief. Maybe she's the one who has some mental problem! She doesn't even realize what you have to go through to do your job. I really hate the part when she said that it was your fault for not knowing that the boy had a mental handicap. ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH! Nevertheless, I'm glad that you were able to clear your name in the end. I don't believe in the usual sh*t "the customer is always right" but I do believe that some customers need to order a well functioning brain.
Kind of grime having the lead in photo a picture of a soon to be corpse. With a fully blown pupil like that she only has a few minutes before that brain aneurysm bleeds out and kills her.
Hey, David Bowie lived to 69 after it happened to him as a kid. Some other kid punched him in the head.

I delivered for 6 years in Houston. This happens at least once a month. I once had a Gypsy family claim there was a hair on their pizza. The manager comped there order and had me deliver a new pizza. The cook was bald and wore a cap. Got no tip and had to drive round trip twice.
That happened because of mercury poisoning when she was little.

I always wonder why people think that USA is so great. Nearly everything I read about it is horrible. Why would you want to live in such a country?
I was born and raised in Germany (and will probably retire there), but can make 2-3 times more money in the states. Overall it's better then 90% of the shitholes the rest of the world is. At least in the States I can stand on my roof and yell at the top of my lungs what a major fucktard Trump is and not fear life in prison or worse (at least not yet)
