Dad And 8-Year-Old Son Create Punny Food Maps For US States
Together with his 8-year-old son, Chris Durso, the creator of foodiggity.com, is working to create a wonderful list of food puns for every state in the Union. The Foodnited States Of America is a delicious country filled with appetizing states like Kaleifornia, Swissconsin and New Jerky.
Durso says the idea was his son’s – “with an idea set forth by an eight year-old, and contributions from Dad and others, we give you The Foodnited States of America.“

“Each Foodnited State is absolutely real, created by hand with either the help of a State-shaped cookie cutter and/or X-acto blade, shot with my iPhone 5s,” Chris Durso told Bored Panda.
“The hardest part is working with some of the foods, because I do use real ingredients. Gorgonzola cheese is no fun to work with on a hot summer day”
“My favorite part is being able to share this experience with my son. I also love people’s response to when we do their home State, or their anticipation if we haven’t done their’s yet”
“Cameron [Durso’s son] is loving it. He calls himself famous now, and he’s actually doing a show-and-tell of the project at school this week”
“Some Photoshop work has been used for a few States for touch-ups around the edges, and Photoshop and Instagram for color-corrects and some enhancement”
“No plans for anything past the 50 US States for now. But I do plan on creating a complete map of The Foodnited States, and to make the States available in print form. This will probably include small posters, postcards, and coasters”
“I’d just like to thank anyone who’s stopped by to check out the project. The response has been overwhelming, and fan’s input for State names has been awesome”

How about Okrahoma, Minisoda, Indibanana, Flourida, New Pork, Mississoupi?
I didn't see South Carolina... I was kind of excited to see what it what look like...
there are only 24 states there. It would have been cool to see the rest but we can probably google them.

They were very good at first but then I just got lost a bit.... but then again I never passed the states test in Elementary school .....
