Star Wars Characters Reimagined As Winnie The Pooh And Friends

Florida based illustrator and artist James Hance just combined Star Wars with Winnie the Pooh. Titled “Wookie the Chew,” Hance’s illustrations reimagine Chewbacca as Pooh Bear and Eeyore as an Imperial Walker, along other crossovers.

But that’s not all. Hance has also just released an audio book of the story! Be sure to check out his website to see more of his work, or Etsy, where you can buy some of these unique, “Wookie the Chew” prints.

He didn't "just" start doing this. He's been creating Wookie the Chew for years. And if you really cared you would have brought up WHY he started doing this particular cross-over, his daughter was suffering from an illness & she loved Star Wars & Winnie the Pooh.

“I love his artwork so much, he has been creating this particular series for years. I think the thing that I appreciate the most is the meaning behind the crossover; his daughter was suffering from an illness and she loved both Winnie the Pooh and Star Wars.” Definitely would have been a less abrasive way to say this :)

James Hance has been doing Wookie the Chew for years. I have a print sitting on my hearth that I've had for at least three. The headline makes it sound as if these are new. He does lots of other mash-ups and pop culture portraits. He's awesome.

He created Wookie the Chew years ago. And the Leia pictures are not from Winnie the Pooh, it's Penny from Disney's The Rescuers.

I want some for my son's room, his nursery was Winnie the pooh themed now he's massively into Star Wars, I feel like this is a wonderful combination of both stages of his interest.

C3-PO would have made a good Rabbit. Yoda or Obi-Wan would be Owl, I think. Not sure who would make a good Tigger though.

James has been doing mash ups for years. He does other things as well: Muppets, Firefly, Dr. Who, etc. His portraits are amazing.

Okay, this is over the top. Star Wars is some kind of craze that has invaded every aspect of pop culture. But, cute pictures. :)

He's been doing it for years. Lots of other themes and portraits. It started as a way to raise funds for his daughter's medical needs.
