Cat With Split-Colored Face Becomes A Father To Kittens In Each Of His Colors

Interview With Owner

Narnia conquered our hearts back in 2018 when he was just a tiny furball with a very special feature. Blue-eyed boy had a face precisely split into a gray and a black side. His owner Stephanie Jiminez said that “When Narnia was born I was extremely surprised. I knew immediately that he was exceptional.” But the kids grow up fast, and the boi has grown into a full-blown heartthrob… and a dad!

Now Narnia has fathered two kittens that have each taken their fur color from either side of Narnia’s face. The siblings, gray-haired Phoenix and black-haired Prada, have surely gone fifty-fifty on getting the best of their dad’s good looks. What a double marvel!

And recently, he became a dad to these two cutie pies in each color

Bored Panda reached out to Narnia’s owner Stephanie and asked her how the famous boy is managing his new role of being a dad. She assured us that “Narnia is very well and he loves playing with his kittens.”

It turns out, it’s not the first time and most likely not the last that Narnia has been a parent. Stephanie, who is a professional cat breeder, said that he has already been a father several times, and all his kittens are of different color variations.

In addition to Prada and Phoenix, Narnia has two light brown twins, Orfée and Ozanna, pitch black Roswell, gray Rose, and two beautiful multicolored boys, Polaris and Phantom.

Seeing their mom and dad, good looks are surely in the genes

Narnia’s blue eyes are show stoppers on their own

Amazingly, unlike Prada and Phoenix, the other kittens have inherited Narnia’s striking blue eyes. “It is very rare, there are only a few cats in the world that are fully colored and have blue eyes. This is a new gene called “ice,” said Stephanie.

Stephanie also said that Narnia will soon be a dad again and his kittens should be born around June 29.

Narnia, who was born in Paris, but lives in Britain, was previously thought to be a rare chimera cat. However, Stephanie said in a previous interview that genetic testing proved that wasn’t the case. “A geneticist performed tests and [found] Narnia has only one DNA… there remains a mystery for science,” she said.

Narnia’s owner Stephanie Jimenez said she knew the boy was exceptional since his birth

And people seemed stunned by this good-looking cat family

I was aww till I found out that she was a cat breeder. There are to many cats already without us breeding more. I love cats but will only get them from a shelter. For every cat bred there is a cat killed in a "shelter".

Same! I loved the story and then I saw that she was purposely breeding him. My thought was to get him neutered.

I miss the days where Googling cats would just bring up cute cat pics. Now you find a bit disturbing cats images from the movie Cats.

Very pretty cats but I can't help to wonder why neither mommy or daddy cat are neutered.... Is there a legitimate reason or is it because she thought that they may have kittens with the same special features as them.

Why is this newsworthy? The cats are beautiful but purposefully being bred by the owner. I would like to introduce her and the “writers” of this article to some beautiful and not so beautiful shelter cats.

Spay/neuter, you idiot. Breeding for color is the most stupid thing.

...says the pug fan. You fancy a dog specifically bred for deformities. These are British Shorthair cats, quite a healthy breed.

There was a new breed back in the 80s called the Ojos Azule that had blue eyes without the Himalayan gene. It was found to be coupled with some serious health problems though, so the plan to develop it was dropped.

The kittens are absolutely adorable....until you remember all the kittens in shelters that get put to death every freakin' day because of irresponsible pet owners and breeders. Just because Narnia is a gorgeous cat, doesn't mean he could help create more kittens!

These cats are beautiful, it’s true, and there are indeed many, many, many more cats out there for those who just want ‘a cat’, whatever breed or not. Sorry, cats aren’t just going to disappear! So, let’s just say that shelters can’t take care of all of their charges until the people come to find a cat all their own, so they even ‘put down’ kittens. (I’ve done that, and it sucks.)

And no ones is going to mention how this male cat is even fertile? Male cats are supposed to have 2 colors, not 3.

It isn't the amount of colors but black vs orange. The X chromosome can only carry a black or an orange gene and males have just 1 x. Narnia is black, gray (shade of black) and white. If he had orange and black, he would most likely be sterile from being XXY
