Special Ed Teacher Invites Entire Class To Her Wedding, And The Internet Falls In Love With Her
Kinsey French, a special education teacher from Kentucky, not only got engaged in front of her whole class, but also invited her students, all with Down Syndrome, to the ceremony. On June 3rd the whole class from Christian Academy Rock Creek became flower girls and ring bearers and led their teacher down the aisle.
“They were like family to me,” French told WLKY. “They were my first class and they’ve been my only class and so I knew I couldn’t have a special day without them.”
Later, the students told that their favorite parts were the food and the dancing. Take a look at the adorable photos by Lang Thomas Photography below.

God bless Kinsey and her husband, and the new family they are going to build! Thank you Lina for sharing such wonderful moments captured in the beautiful pictures. In a time when everyone is "talking" about diversity and inclusiveness, it is encouraging we see someone putting the talk in the walk. Kinsey - your love and kindness to these kids are inspiring! God bless!
Seems to have been a very beautiful and special day! Love the BIG smiles on everyone's faces!!! :-)
Down syndrome kids have an extra chromosome of love, so apparently does their teacher. May she have a wonderful life.
Well....didn't think that'd make me tear up, but....lol. What part of Ky id's she's from? I've been to the state quite a bit being from SWVa.
People like this teacher are a genuine gift to the world. Way to go teach 👍🏻
Good on you Kinsey French for making the little kids in her class have special memories to last a lifetime time, and she got it all on film for them! Down Syndrome children are the most loving and have the biggest hearts. But I believe they rubbed off on there teacher! If I were a parent of a student in her class, I would be sending her a bouquet of gorgeous flowers upon her return! What she did was nothing short of amazing!!
How gorgeous are those children and what a very special teacher they have.
This makes me happy if i ever become a special ed teacher im going to do this for sure!
Absolutely beautiful, well done to Kinsey for doing such a wonderful thing for these children!
I think she must be one of the bestest teachers out there. I know that decision must not have been easy, what with family wanting a lot of say and what not. But she stuck to her guns. Bully for her! She got her dream wedding! YAAAAAAY!!!! :-) ♡♡
A true special education teacher indeed. Kinsey has shown that she truly is special by inviting her special students to partake in her most special day...may all her life be special and exciting as well....
Great story! Too bad you hacked it with a missed word and misspelled Down Syndrome in the first sentence.
