39 Of The Best Shots Of The 2017 Solar Eclipse
4.5Mviews
On Monday, August 21, 2017, millions of people were staring at the same thing through doofy glasses, as they tried to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse. Not only that, they also immortalized the awe-inspiring moment in photos, and Bored Panda has collected the best of them in case you missed the phenomenon or can't get enough of it.
A total solar eclipse covered a narrow portion of the United States from Salem, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina. And a partial one was visible across the entire continent of North America, as well as in parts of South America, Africa, and Europe. This was the first time since 1918 when North America experienced the path of totality from coast to coast.

I Am The Accidental Photographer Of This Once In A Lifetime Shot
At least you didn't say they where the government spraying us with thought inhibitors hahaha!
Load More Replies...What a shot. You could wait another lifetime before getting another one like that. Well done
I caught this one in Southern, IL, wonder if it's the same plane? DSC03001-5...2dcddb.jpg
A SWORD! awesome!! wow!! the Word of God is a Sword, is sharper then a 2 edged bladed sword. :) love this Pic.
Good chemtrail shot. The government never sleeps tying to hide the truth.
This is my absolute favorite picture of the solar eclipse. A man made object meets a heavenly creation!
What a unique shot of the eclipse, bisected by a fly by! Once in a lifetime is right on.
He might not feel so good when all that poison drops on him! It is called Chem Trail or weather Modification and President said he would stop it!

Not really they flying planes following shadow but one my girl star reporter tracy took one and has bird in it lol maybe he following shadow
Why is every one saying that every photo here is photoshoped? Even a pic of a shadow was said to be photoshoped lol come on guys, dont be haters all your life. Perfect photo here. Thanks for sharing!
It's the plane. With the sun behind it, and a filter on the camera strong enough to allow the sun to be photographed like this, that plane would be completely black. Instead it's lit very nicely from below. I'm afraid the "haters" are right in this case. As best I can tell.
Load More Replies...With the right amount of money, equipment and experience, this is a very plausible shot. However, the fact that the contrails can be seen, even directly in the path of the brightest part of the sun, would lead me to believe it is, in fact, a photoshop. Super awesome one though!
I don't know how to get out this picture with just a click that including 3 images: the sun (big circle purple), the moon (blue crescent in the left corner) and eclipse IMG_068787...915479.jpg
For those saying this is photoshopped I watched this jet cross the sun just before totality in Idaho. Not only is it possible, I watched it happen and even have timelapse video showing it, though not nearly as beautifully. It's at the 1:25 mark and I was watching it through a telescope at the time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuYyXH9q1OE
Holy fuck this is beautiful. I wish this had been photographed in HD though :(
Great Photo the Condensation Trail Makes it Work.. but Idiots will say Chem trails ..
"chemtrails" is the misleading, over-used, non-science term for Stratospheric Aerosol Injection —an element of geoengineering. Quite real. Worldwide. Been going on for a LONG time.
Load More Replies...Very cool! When I first looked, I thought it was a very shiny sword!
you know many many years ago, I saw something similar with a full moon and I didn't have a camera at that time. Have always regretted that.
Layered...the plane would NOT be lit from below, it would be dark. The contrail also would not be lit up like that. Fake fake fake.
I saw this shot via Paul Dellegatto : Literally, a once in a lifetime shot ...AND this one is real! Taken in Lewiston, Idaho Monday by Reddit user cursetenj IG user @cursetenj https://www.reddit.com/…/hello_reddit_i_am_the_accidental…/…
This is a photoshopped photo. The plane is seen from below. This is not possible at the latitude where the eclipse occured, the sun is not high enough in the sky to make that possible. This shot could have been possible for a solar eclipse occuring near the equator where the sun pass near the zenith.
Took me a while to figure out what this really was. Amazing timing.
It'd still be better if someone was able to capture when the airplane passed through the moon right at the moment its wings superpose the crescent @@
geoengineeringwatch.org Weather modification must stop! It is killing the planet and all who live on it!
I wonder if the people in the plane were looking down and watching the moon's shadow move across the Earth.
We were over Jackson Hole at 38,000 at totality. We did a 360 to get a better view. Awesome!
Load More Replies...No accident there. If anyone was really paying attention to our skies, you would notice our sun gets blocked out by geoengineering aerosols all the time. It's called Solar radiation management and there currently is a lawsuit filed to bring this out to the forefront. geoengineeringwatch.org
It's faked. As the amount of sunlight darkened the visible light, there would not be enough reflective (ambient) light from the earth to illuminate the underside of the plane. Same would hold true for the Vapor Trails. This could also not be primary light generated from any city, since the lunar eclipse was between the hours of 9 AM and 11:30 AM (PST) (In other words, during the daytime throughout all points of North America), no city would create enough. It's faked. Nice try though.
I agree. And contrail will always be below vertical stabilizer. This pic shows contrail above stabilizer.
Load More Replies...These photos are phenomenal Accidental Photographer! Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
This is a composite... not an actual shot... if he had made the siluette of the plain darker it would have been belivable and more difficult to debunk

♫ Excalibur! Excalibur! From United Kingdom! I'm looking for heaven! I'm going to California! ♫
If it is real it is disgusting...It is a plane spraying Chemtrails...Planes don't spew out contrails that look like that...Tell me when you were little if you remember the skies being filled with lines criss crossing everywhere and the skies being turned to a greyish blue?
It's called layering...a photoshop trick. That plane would be shadowed....not lit up from below. Nice try....not.
Freaking chemtrails ... they just can't leave us alone, can they?! So surprised they didn't have the whole sky whited out.
Definitely photoshop! Any filter dark enough to allow a photo of the sun would not have allowed the dimly illuminated aircraft to be visible.
My boyfriend took this picture in st Joseph Missouri by the highway by menards this isn't photoshopped
