Artist Haley Weaver a.k.a. Haley Drew This connects the inner and the outer. The individual and the collective. Her comics surrounding issues like mental health, relationships, and selfhood encompass so many aspects of the human experience, you could just say they are about life. Yes, that might sound a little abstract, but Haley's work is multi-dimensional and can't be described with one adjective. So a broad noun will have to do.

More info: haleydrewthis.com | Instagram | Twitter

Haley went to Gettysburg College, a small liberal arts school. She studied English with a writing concentration and competed on the swim team. And if you're wondering, yes, she did take a civil war course.

Over the years, Haley found that sitting down and focusing on drawing — like penning the curve of a circle or the corner of a square — helps her feel present and connected rather than high strung and worried. "It makes my brain feel less like a livewire and more like a spark," she told Articles of Antiquity.

"I've always loved doodling. When I first started my art account, my goal was to draw regularly while making art that connected with people. I think my style has transformed over the years, but still feels rooted in that original goal."

Speaking to The Charlotte Observer, the artist said her work receives mind-blowing amounts of support. "I love seeing people tag their friends in the comments or direct message me to say that my drawing helped them or inspired them or simply made them happy. That's been the coolest—to feel like I'm making an impact beyond what I ever could’ve before."

Haley currently has over 307K followers but she's not only posting to Instagram. She's scrolling through it as well. Out of everyone Haley follows herself, she really likes @webcomic_name for a delightfully predictable punchline, @ziwef and @hicaitlinreilly for the laughs, and @chanel_miller for beautiful storytelling. If you like her work, check out these accounts as well. Chances are, you'll adore them too.

I always like how Harry (Potter) says that the dementors make him feel like he'll never be happy again. That's EXACTLY how depression makes me feel. It takes a lot of work from my rational mind to remind myself that it's not true.

confidence does not just appear. if confidence is lacking it means things feel out of control, or not equipped to handle it. Competence and Empowerment builds confidence.

Dude how much energy do you have during a funk? If I get out of bed it's an accomplishment.

That's right, it's important to celebrate every achievement, however minor it seems.

I would add, take a walk around the block and eat a healthy snack (low blood sugar is a sure fire funk generator!)

I remember one day, my dad made amazing asparagus and i anted more! So my dad gave me a choice. I could either have 5 more asparagus or have a slice of CHEESECAKE. I chose asparagus and it was worth it!

Nope. Not reading the journals from my younger days. I have bipolar so most of what is in them is how depressed I was and not knowing why I wasn't like everyone else, what was/is wrong with me, why do I feel this way. Thank God for my psychiatrist and medications!

Love note? I don't like to red them. It just worsens the dysphoria because everyone only saw me as a girl and nothing else. It makes me feel like I'm stuck in the wrong body and I can't do anything about it.

I don’t stare at myself in a mirror, it’s more of a “Whenever I see my reflection I start talking to it like I’m making a speech to a crowd” type of thing. I have a hard time with mirrors.

- clean your space: no energy, too overwhelming. - eat healthy: too much effort, dont feel worth eating - music: just not something that one dwells on, or triggers trauma & emotional ghosts. - breathe: yes - water: yes - self compassion: absofukinlutely

Wow. I feel like a lot of these are positive, mine would be shorter and only negative situations because I’m the type of person who only cries when sad/angry.

This is why I don't use social media any more. I get depressed because other people have such amazing lives and I don't. I forget that what they post are only the amazing parts and I don't see the bad parts that they have too.

Or, if you can, don't attend the party in the first place! You probably won't irritate your friends because of it. It's pointless to go to a party if you know you won't have fun.
