7 Hilariously Inappropriate Comics About A Slutty Witch

The life of a witch isn’t easy. Of course, the struggles they currently face are no match for the challenges they had during the 15th-18th centuries. Yes, I’m talking about the witch purge that resulted in an estimated 35,000 to 100,000 executions. But still. Nowadays, dating or visiting the gynaecologist aren’t always the most pleasurable experiences either.

Elizabeth Pich & Jonathan Kunz, also known as the artistic duo War and Peas (previously here and here) have created a dark comic strip that illustrates “the adventures of a Slutty Witch,” and it will definitely make you feel guilty for laughing.

“The character was spooking around in our heads for a while,” Elizabeth and Jonathan told Bored Panda. “We’d been wanting a slutty, empowered female character for some time. ‘Slut’ and ‘witch’ are two words that have been reclaimed and redefined to represent aspects of feminity such as freedom and power. We liked that.”

“She definitely knows what she wants and takes no shit from anybody,” they added. “She’s also open-minded and a good friend. She reminds us of a lot of kick-ass women we know. Her only vice? Probably all the hot, distracting sex she’s having.”

“Halloween is the only night of the year that she can roam the streets incognito. She’ll definitely mix in with the common folks and party a little with her vampire boyfriend.”

Awesome comics. Looks like a cool idea for a sequel to that tv show Sabrina or something...

I pretty like her idea for coping with catcalling. More black magic = less harassers. ;D

It’s weird how it’s okay to call women, sluts in America.

FYI here is a list of female horror writers: Laurell K. Hamilton Toni Morrison - Beloved Anne Rice Shirley Jackson Gemma Files Tana French Annie Neugebauer Sarah Pinborough Ellen Datlow - who knows maybe they will incorporate some of the humor in these strips in their work!

Showed them to my Gen X aunt, she loved them, and me and my Gen Z sister, and my baby boomer great uncle. Maybe it's just a humor thing.
