Single Dad Hosts First Ever Daddy Daughter Hair Class And Tea Party, And These Dads Win Fathers Of The Year!
To celebrate Father’s Day, a single dad hosted a free Daddy Daughter Hair Class and Tea Party.
Greg Wickherst, also known on social media as The Hair Dad, teaches classes for other dads on how to do their daughters’ hair. This year he decided to go all out for Father’s Day. He rented out a local restaurant and added a fun twist to an already entertaining event. He held a tea party after the hair class, and the results couldn’t be any more adorable.
The girls held a dueling tea contest where the contestants dipped cookies into tea and battled to see who could hold the cookie up the longest without it falling apart, also known as splitting. They took pictures with women in the community that volunteered to dress as princesses. The dads learned new tricks on how to take care of and style their girl’s hair. But the most adorable part was when the girls brought a flower to give to their dads as a present for Father’s Day. The girls were lined up across the patio from their dads. They were announced by Mr. Wickherst, and one by one, they would walk with a princess to bring the flower to their dad. Without fail, as soon as the daughter got close to their dad, she would take off sprinting to go give her dad a big bear hug and say “I love you!”
Greg ended the event with some words of wisdom. “It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being present. Not just with hairstyles, but in life. Your daughter doesn’t care if it is a perfect party line, or if the piggie tails are completely even. All she knows is that her daddy did her hair and she loves him for it. So don’t spend your life working overtime to get her the most expensive gifts you can buy. The moments she is going to remember are the times you spent with her. And that’s what really matters!”
