Someone Asks Women The Silliest Thing They Cried Over During Pregnancy And They Deliver 30 Responses
Pregnancy can be a beautiful thing, some moms even experience a pregnancy 'glow,' but for the miracle that making a new life is - getting through those nine months can be pretty emotionally rocky. Women can feel like they are going nuts from all the mood swings brought on by all the pregnancy hormones and for the people around them, it can be hard to keep up.
One of the many hormonal side-effects is crying over the most random things. According to Lucy Puryear, M.D., psychiatrist and author of Understanding Your Moods When You're Expecting, this is a staple of the first trimester in particular. "Estrogen and progesterone are skyrocketing at the beginning of your pregnancy," she explained to Parents magazine, "The changes have big effects on your mood. You can be tearful one minute and happy the next."
To get an idea of just how major these mood swings are a Facebook group decided to ask women to share the silliest thing they cried over during their pregnancies. Scroll down to check out the ridiculously hilarious answers and don't forget to upvote your favs!

The first trimester is marked by 'tears and forgetfulness', according to Parents magazine. "You're wearing your emotions on your fingertips, so you're much more reactive to everything," Jennifer L. Hartstein, Ph.D., a family therapist in New York City tells the outlet. "After your meltdown, you can get freaked out, thinking, What is wrong with me? This will get you upset all over again. Just remember that it's normal, and try to laugh it off and move on."
This....well, it isn't even "the American way" It isn't even a way at all.

Ever heard of pregnancy brain? This occurs in the early stages of pregnancy and is the result of sky-high levels of progesterone or the "calming hormone." Dr. Puryear told the outlet, "When I was pregnant with Parker, I once put my older son Peter's Legos in the refrigerator, and then I tried to serve him a cup of keys to drink!" says Caroline, a mom of two who lives in Oklahoma City.
Don't worry about all the tears because the second trimester delivers unbridled giddiness! Morning sickness dissipates and you begin to feel the baby move. It is possible that instead of spontaneous crying you will experience spontaneous giggles. In addition, you are more likely to be "in the mood" frequently thanks to all the blood pumping through your body.
I did it the same... pregnant with my second son..I left the older one at my parents house for one night ( preparing him for the days when I would be in hospital for labour)..he was the happiest kids in the world for this "adventure" ..and litteraly sent us home (he is 3 year old)... 20 meters away from my parents house I was crying In the car..I asked my mother, he didn't cry..
Thought the blues were over? Well, it all comes back around in the third trimester, which is marked by crankiness and power-nesting. The euphoric stage ends and pregnant women find themselves crabby and uncomfortable. There is an increase in oxytocin, the nesting hormone, which can manifest into powerful urges to clean and organize.
So how do you deal with all the ups and downs?! First, take comfort in knowing you aren't alone and that the out of control hormones are all a part of the process. Talk to other moms or soon-to-be moms for some emotional solidarity and advice. You can laugh or cry together. "If you're crying consistently and feeling down for more than two weeks without any pleasurable moments in between, or feeling worthless or hopeless, ask your healthcare provider for help," says Dr. Puryear. Postpartum depression can begin even before babies are born.
Can Sunny D be called juice? It has a lot of ingredients that juice doesn't come with.
She most likely put HUSBAND in, and it autocorrected to "son dad" haha these comments are unique for sure!
I cried so much during the beginning of Up my friend and I had to stop the movie for me to compose myself. I wasn't even pregnant
Think I'd be tempted to risk it... how different is it to the 3 second rule? Dog's paws have been all over the floor when people do that. If the dog had sat on it then nope.
Sounds more like she was really crying from missing him and that's just what set it off.
He would have been picking himself up off the floor. Don't touch my food.
Don't worry,it will soon be over, carrying your bundle of joy in your hands
I have two.... When I was prego with my oldest (almost 18 years ago God Help me) I was craving Chinese food soooo bad. I had a dear friend whom said "Baby girl if you and that baby want chinese food, you shall have it." he handed me a 100 dollar bill (there were a few friends over too) and he said, go get me X,Y,Z and with the rest you can get whatever you want. I don't want change back.... So I did, came back with mountains of food. The instant I opened the container, the smell made me sick and I couldn't eat it. I bawled my eyes out because I wanted it but couldn't and I felt horrible for wasting his money. He just laughed and said more for me. Greatest friend ever. The second was the stupid Simpsons. At the end of the credits, there's a baby in an ultra sound that laughs....I lost it and cried my eyes out for no reason. lol
My husband was such a jerk when i was pregnant :/ He brought us subway because it was the only thing i could eat i was so nauseated the whole pregnancy. He wouldn't watch our baby so i could eat it, he walked off and i couldn't get to it for 30 minutes and it was soggy by that point and i threw up from trying to eat it. Another time I caught a bad flu and i was so horrifically sick on top of the constant nausea and he just walked away from me saying he had to go to work and we had a big fight that he had to stay home to take care of our son because i couldn't get away from the toilet. Wish I had the fickle reasons above to cry over when i was expecting :(
Yeah my ex left me on the kitchen floor unable to even walk because I was so sick so that he could go smoke weed and hang out with his friends. he walked away from us and hasnt been present in over a year, never been better. I hope hes an ex for you now!
Load More Replies...Cried because I saw some people with children stranded by the side of the road. The children were dressed to go to the national soccer team's game in my home town. They refused my offer to give them a ride, as there was already someone on the way to pick them up. And also, who would get in the car with a crying stranger? Cried some more after they refused.
Never judge crying pregnant lady...should see some of the things I've cried at.
Load More Replies...SOOO I was pregnant during Shamrock Shake season and I came home with one after running around with my mom. It was only half gone, I set it on the counter and went to pee. Well my ex came home thinking it was old and he would be helpful he tossed it. I came out to my shake gone and LOST.MY.S**T. He offered to go get a new one to which I cried that I did not want to be alone while I was a wreck so he (logically) replied that I could go for the ride too and he would drive.... I screamed "DO YOU THINK I WANT TO GO OUT LIKE THIS LOOK AT ME RIGHT NOW". he ust threw his hands up and walked away at that point . The only other meltdown I had was near the end of pregnancy. My ex had gone upstairs to get on comfy clothes but I didnt want to get off the couch so he grabbed mine without me having to ask, he walked down the stairs and I BURTED into tears . He ran over asking if someone died because I was crying so damn hard lmao;
I honestly had a hard time with pregnancy but somehow when the baby is born you forget all the bad things. But I remember I cried on baby and puppy adverts on TV. I also cried because I my husband got me rubicon passion instead of rubicon mango, it was one of my 3 only cravings.
Not "Fishing Hat Guy"! That dude was the best! With his little fishing hat, and his being a guy. We will never forget him. Wait... who are you talking about?
Load More Replies...I had an absolute meltdown because I hadn't done dishes from the day before and my husband came home early with takeout to surprise me. I screamed at him about disrespecting me by coming home early when I still had dishes to do and started crying because he brought home pizza that I'd been craving for several days. I continued to cry because he was breathing funny and I thought he wanted to divorce me because of the way I was acting. We were happily married and divorce had never even been a thought in my head. When I remembered that I had pork chops for dinner in the fridge I started crying again because it was an absolute waste of money to buy pizza when we had food at home. He mumbled something about me sounding like my mother and I kicked him out of the living room so I could sleep on the couch in peace. It wasn't even dark yet. My one and only pregnancy mood swing.
LOL I cried at Red Lobster because their Endless shrimp had ended...
I almost lost my mind at hubs at a red lobster. I got my fave meal that was wonderful. He said he was going to the bathroom, instead, snuck off to the gift shop to get me a t shirt I'd laughed my butt off about. Problem was...he brought me a 3X. Even VERY pregnant, and Large would have been more than roomy. I almost threw it at him when we got in the car. But I spent dessert trying not to burst into tears. LOL I was wacko pregnant.
Load More Replies...Ice.. I wanted ice in my water and there was none left in the freezer, so I cried. :) My husband got me some from a convenience store and I was happy again. :D
wanted, craved for a four & twenty plain meat pie got my husband to drive around for half an hour, when I got it I changed my mind, but didn't let Stu know, also rang up a supermarket near me they had ran out of aero peppermint chocolate & requested they procure some as soon as possible
my ex-husband brought the wrong kind of donut home. I want Boston cream. He brought maple. the smell of the maple made me gag
That is a straight up sin, Id be pissed about that preggo or not
Load More Replies...I was picking up some fish n' Chips. I placed my order and sat down to wait. Every other number before me was called so I thought I was next...but it was people after me that kept getting called up. They forgot my order. I was so upset because I had to wait even longer once I finally notified them. I cried the whole way home.
My first pregnancy was the worst. I made my bf get up and go to 7/11 in the middle of the night for arrowhead water. other water tasted funny and i would sob uncontrollably trying to explain this to him. he eventually stopped asking why i asked for anything and just got it lmoa!
I mean it doesnt happen ALL the time, I had two irrational break downs during my entire pregnancy but it varies by person. Some women have more some have none.
Load More Replies...I once cried because I dropped a frozen pea and it rolled under the sofa and I couldn’t get it out and I was alone in the house. All I wanted to eat at that point was frozen peas, and I had emptied the last bag to my bowl and now I could not eat them all, because one was under the sofa.... I do not miss that aspect of being pregnant! Even I thought crying about it was strange when it happened, but I cried anyway! Oooh, the upset! 🙄😂
When I was pregnant with my first and the remote fell behind the couch. I couldn't get it and my husband was laughing at me. I cried... a lot, then screamed at him. I also got biscuits and gravy one morning. Of course, I took my dogs with me and while I was getting fuel they ate my biscuits and gravy. With my second I didn't cry as much. I only cried when my husband decided to watch a Dog's Purpose (disclaimer: do not watch this while pregnant).
Dudes you know what I love? Reading the comments on these posts and seeing mostly love, support and solidarity. You guys rock.
I had morning sickness every.single.time. after my first food of the day, no matter what I ate. I would be eating my breakfast and crying the whole time because I knew I was going to throw it all up right after. 🥴
Really wanted a kind of fried kweetiaw , but the place was 45 minutes away from my home. My husband wanted to buy it for me but it was downpour outside. I wanted to eat but didn't want him to go out, so i bawled. There's no delivery service that time
I craved green peppers like crazy. Not all cravings are horrible junk food.
Load More Replies...Why is it that when people don't know how to respond to a woman's emotions it's immediately assumed she's PMSing?? It's annoying. Instead of assuming/blaming it on her "pyramid", did you actually take the time to find out the reason for her reaction? I mean she was your wife and it was the 1st time she acted like that in your presence...wouldn't you be concerned?
