Halloween is not the only occasion for scary stories, and if horror movies aren’t enough for you, we’ve got some creepy drawings that might just cater to your spine-chilling needs.
New York-based artist and CollegeHumor head illustrator Jacob Andrews has plucked some of the eeriest two-sentence horror stories from the depths of Reddit and turned them into a short series of chilling comics. Unwelcome intruders, texts from the afterlife, and dug-up bones are just a few of the themes that haunt each panel, and it’s impressive how these short horror stories manage to unsettle the reader in so few frames.
Scroll down to be spooked and get your dose of the good old-fashioned scary stories to tell in the dark. If you’re still not shaken senseless, check out more bit-sized horror stories here.

Wait, The Mobile Text One, Didn't Scare me at all, Because it can be any other family member who had seen that,But, Others are Quite Scary
I thought that was scariest, because my late wife and I were the only ones on our family plan, and her phone is still in the dresser drawer.
Sorry to hear you lost your loved one. When my wife lost her mother unexpectedly she would call her voicemail to listen to her voice again.
I want to text my husband every day. I forget that I can't. Sorry for your loss.
Aww... I'm sorry for your loss :(
When I lost my husband in 2011, I used to text his phone, about milestones with the kids or grand children... I was shocked, terrified and over joyed to receive a reply. The number had been put back into circulation after only 6 months. The person who got his old number... was very understanding and a bit freaked out by my texts. Once they understood what was going on they told me to text anytime. I thanked them but never did message thsm again. When I look back on it now it was the begining of my acceptance of my life without him....
I lost my wife in 2011 too... F*ck cancer.
:( i am so sorry for your loss.. I am about to cry. Seriously
Hicham Elothemany yes
When my wife died, my brother-in-law came to visit. He lives abroad, so I gave him her phone to stay connected during his visit. He went to a grocery store and got lost on the way back, so he called me. I picked up my phone, and it showed my late wife's name. I almost had a heart attack at that moment. It was only couple of days since her passing.
@Hicham It is. Wouldn't wish for anyone to remain alone with two young kids. Thankfully, I had enough strength and help from friends to gather myself together and go on.
:( it's sure hard to lose someone you love
That's only applicable if the person you are texting was on a family plan.
Not necessarily, my father-in-law kept his wife's phone working for several months after she passed so he could notify friends of hers that he had no other contact info for etc, and he had her passwords etc.
I am sorry for everyone who lost their loved ones 😢.....Be strong
You're fun
Is it me?? People say I have a great sense of humour
Mobile one happened to me... a year after my dad died, my phone rang and caller id said "Dad"... my heart stopped. Turned out it was my brother who found the sim card and called to tell me he will be using the number in future.
Rang my mum off a family business office line she had saved as my late sister's (who used it often) about a year after my sister's passing on. I can not explain what that did to her.
jeez that would have scared the heck out of me
Scared no, but the feeling of seeing a lost loved one showing up on their phone must have been emotion. I fret the day I lose my grand parents or mother and father.
Exactly not scared but even more sad and depressed.. Just reading these stories of people that something similar happened to them brought tears to my eyes
