Artist Tries To Raise Awareness About Animal Abuse With These 33 Uncomfortable Illustrations

This artist by the name of milkdongcomics on Instagram creates illustrations. However, those illustrations are not simply art. They have a heavy message behind them—animal abuse. Many of us don't even think about all the ways animals are being mistreated by humanity. So this artist created a project called "Murder Scene" to shock us back to reality.
The art may be uncomfortable for many people, but it's the sad reality of many critters in this world. Perhaps this art will make us rethink our actions and create a world safe for animals. Many organizations are already working towards that. Consider donating to shelters and institutions working to save animals and give them a better life.

Animal abuse is common all over the world. Research shows that animal abuse strongly connects with abuse against people. The most common animals abused are pets, like cats, dogs, and farm animals.
We asked the artist what inspired him to create these illustrations: "I love nature. All of the creatures on the earth are beautiful! Unfortunately, many of them are endangered, therefore, I created a collection of drawings with messages about animal cruelty. The name of the series is "HEY HUMAN, SEE WHAT YOU DO!?" I wanna convey the message to more people through my art, attract more people to raise awareness about the endangered creatures. This is a serious issue!"
There are many forms animal abuse takes: from hoarding too many animals, breeding them incorrectly, to slaughtering them for fur, horns, and teeth, to even organizing fights and pitting animals against one another. Many would argue that there aren't enough laws to help prevent animal abuse; usually, people responsible for mistreating animals are not persecuted.
The artist shared what inspired him to touch upon such heavy topics: "The natural ecosystem is closely linked with humans, so I wanna try my best to do something for animals, the next-generation, and the earth!"

There are many discussions about testing drugs, makeup, and other products on animals. Many companies are going the cruelty-free route—however, many believe it's necessary to ensure the safety of the product.
Humans and animals have been inseparable from one another from the very beginning. Animals are a very important part of our lives, not to mention our planet. So please be considerate and report any animal abuse you see, donate, and help this world become a safer place for them.

Milk Dong Comics shared what he does in life: "I enjoy swimming in the ocean, walking in nature with my lovely doggies. Creating art is my job, Hong Kong is a society under commercial pressure and it is hard to survive in it. I had been employed in different industries for livelihood. For example designer, visual merchandiser, art teacher, sales, customer service, ware-houseman, restaurant waiter, fishmonger, coolie, and many more. However, even after all of it I never give up on art!"

Bear bile is used by some traditional Asian medicine practitioners for the ursodeoxycholic acid it contains which is used in treating gallbladder and liver ailments. The bears are kept in captivity to "harvest" the bile their livers produce and their gallbladders store. Surgical "harvesting" causes severe pain, infections, and suffering to the bears although some purveyors install permanent ports from the gall bladder to the outside to siphon off the bile as it becomes available. It's a horrible life for the bears. Asian black bears are dwindling in numbers due to humans parting them out so unless this trade is made enforceably illegal, the purveyors will be looking to exploit other types of bears, like the American black bear. You would think the acid could be synthesized in a lab instead of imprisoning and torturing bears.

The bears are kept on farms because of their bile or they lose their paws in traps because paws are used for traditional soup. It's vietnamese with English, French and German translation available on the website.
Why does Traditional Chinese medicine have so many strange beliefs of things that cure things when there are less cruel alternatives.
Bears don't make gallstones since they hibernate. Their bile composition doesn't precipitate which is why it is thought that it can help with gallstones in human. Hence the medication name is URSAdiol... ursa as in bear. Cholecystectomy and dietary changes are way more affective, not to mention less horrendous than caging a bear stealing its bile.
this thing of traditional Chinese medicine is becoming a serious problem for the whole world. they can be treated as they wish, but bear bile, tiger's penis and paws, rhino horn, turtle carapace, seahorses, shark fins, snakes, monkey heads, skulls of gazelle, the mouse cubs used to make a wine, the lizards, are all ingredients of oriental medicine, which is disinterested in the animal which is slaughtered or defaced only for these beliefs. and there is no scientific evidence on the real functionality of these medicines.

It absolutely amazes me how many animals--even endangered animals--suffer and die because of "traditional Asian/Chinese medicine" (most of it anecdotal, useless at best, harmful at worst, and entirely deadly to every animal involved.) Over 1000 plants and 36 species of animals are used including tiger, rhino, leopard, black bear, musk deer, and sea horses. A brief look (if you're interested) shows that the bones of tigers are used in wines and plasters to treat arthritis. Altho only 5 000-7000 estimated to live in the wild, China has est 5000 in farms. The price of the arthritis medicine increases 50% if it contains rhino horn and/or leopard bones. (They have also been known to use dog, cow, goat and mole rat if tiger is not available). Rhinoceros horn is supposed to treat fever and convulsions even tho rhinos are critically endangered. Black bears are kept in farms and have their bile drained via catheter which is painful and sometimes lethal. It supposedly treated liver ailments and headaches. **LET ME SEE IF I CAN CONTINUE BELOW**
The musk in musk deer is used to promote circulation , treat skin infections and abdominal pain. 100,000 deer/yr are used for this. sometimes muskrats and civets are used. Sea horses (35 different varieties) are used for kidney issues, circulation and impotence. 20 million sea horses/yr or approx 500 tons are used annually for these anecdotal "traditional" remedies. And there are others. It has been going on for thousands of years and, unless someone can get through to them, it will continue for thousands of years more, with so, so many animals needlessly being farmed, or poached then tortured and killed for this. They use it medications and for general well being. The bears are kept in tiny cages and cannot move they have a tube into their bile duct and there it stays draining this poor animal until the day it dies. Bloody disgraceful and totally unnecessary .

All that traditional medicine of people XY is usually neither traditional nor medicine, but a f****d-up enterprise on every level you may imagine - that c**p don't work, best case is it does nothing. All those sugarbowl-fans here who have a heart for "the knowledge of ancient chinese" could just ask themselves if they wanted to live in ancient china. I guess not ... the evil west, evil science, evil civilization ... just is the first to ever bring up an animal rights movement - if that is no improvemet over any alternative that is promoted so strongly ... but then, again - what to expect from a world who trought mother teresa was among the best humans who have ever lived, with nothing in their hand to prove the point, but tons of evidence against? F**k all that. Reason and reason alone is worth being believed!
My only comment to that is that China is one of the very few countries that have absolutely *no* animal cruelty laws of *any* kind.

It all happens where a dog from Thailand accidentally boarded a cargo ship en route to Hong Kong. Their Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department euthanized the dog with the reason that it came from area with rabies outbreak.

I don't like these. But only because I know they are inspired by truth. And, as with many replies, it really saddens me. I so wish the people that engaged in things like poaching, testing, fighting and racing saw the world through the eyes of the animals they abuse.

These are based on things that have really happened. I don't know the circumstances of some of them, but I know several of them are from recent events.
In Asia, I think, elephants are ridden in parades and tied up with rope at the end. The sad part is, when they are babies, they have a chain tied around there ankle. Eventually, they realize there is no escape, and when they grow up, the thin rope acts like the chain. It really is sad. Also, dairy farms. Stop being selfish jerks and give the baby cows their mother's. And why do people chop off dogs' tails? It does nothing to you. Imagine chopping off your leg. Do you want that to happen? I sure hope not.
They've forgotten the most important and frequent question: "Hey human why you need my meet?"
The really sad thing is that the people who do these things couldn't care less and these pictures won't make any difference to what they do.

Scientifically, humans are animals, yes, humans are abused too. Be it through childhood, or adulthood with your partner, there are Humans abused, be it mentally,physical,sexual, (ew) or some other. It really hurts to know that not only these poor “animals” we call them, whilst we are animals too, and these days some heartless humans are animals. Why is “animals” Referred to a crazy person. Shaming for no reason?
Today we condemn people from the past (enshrined as statues) for the way they treated other humans; ways which were normal during their time periods. Our great grandchildren will tear down the statues we make today because of the ways in which people today treat animals. We are no better than our ancestors.

Humans are Omnivores! Just look at our teeth! Not that it's bad to be Vegetarian/Vegan. I just want the senseless violence to stop.

Animal testing is used ecessively. If we accept for the moment that it can't be replaced in total by now, the amount and the potentially found evidence for whatever still not always come into an acceptable proportion. Research towards animal-free testing could use a better funding for sure, and a closer look when this stuff is getting permission (you can't just do that when and how you like, but must, pro forma, show why you need to ... in many countries) would certainly reduce the amount of it - but there is money in it, money when selling the animals also as money when conducting the experiment for another company - and the stuff found out this way often is way overrated ... sometimes its only effect is combining a drug with a minor effective substance like caffein or so to get new patents - this is a system full of exceptions and holes and excuses. If it wree only for real medical progress, we'd need way less. Most are abused.
