This artist by the name of milkdongcomics on Instagram creates illustrations. However, those illustrations are not simply art. They have a heavy message behind them—animal abuse. Many of us don't even think about all the ways animals are being mistreated by humanity. So this artist created a project called "Murder Scene" to shock us back to reality.

The art may be uncomfortable for many people, but it's the sad reality of many critters in this world. Perhaps this art will make us rethink our actions and create a world safe for animals. Many organizations are already working towards that. Consider donating to shelters and institutions working to save animals and give them a better life.

More info: Instagram | Facebook

Animal abuse is common all over the world. Research shows that animal abuse strongly connects with abuse against people. The most common animals abused are pets, like cats, dogs, and farm animals.

We asked the artist what inspired him to create these illustrations: "I love nature. All of the creatures on the earth are beautiful! Unfortunately, many of them are endangered, therefore, I created a collection of drawings with messages about animal cruelty. The name of the series is "HEY HUMAN, SEE WHAT YOU DO!?" I wanna convey the message to more people through my art, attract more people to raise awareness about the endangered creatures. This is a serious issue!"

There are many forms animal abuse takes: from hoarding too many animals, breeding them incorrectly, to slaughtering them for fur, horns, and teeth, to even organizing fights and pitting animals against one another. Many would argue that there aren't enough laws to help prevent animal abuse; usually, people responsible for mistreating animals are not persecuted.

The artist shared what inspired him to touch upon such heavy topics: "The natural ecosystem is closely linked with humans, so I wanna try my best to do something for animals, the next-generation, and the earth!"

De-clawing is illegal in the UK, with good reason. It’s like cutting off a cat’s fingertips.

"Every time that animals are killed for human benefits, make me very angry!"

There are many discussions about testing drugs, makeup, and other products on animals. Many companies are going the cruelty-free route—however, many believe it's necessary to ensure the safety of the product.

Humans and animals have been inseparable from one another from the very beginning. Animals are a very important part of our lives, not to mention our planet. So please be considerate and report any animal abuse you see, donate, and help this world become a safer place for them.

"The most important message is when the buying stops the killing can too. Humans must wonder what is their needs, they should able to distinguishing between wants and needs. Desire is not essential. Just think about it before you buy, eat and use!"

Milk Dong Comics shared what he does in life: "I enjoy swimming in the ocean, walking in nature with my lovely doggies. Creating art is my job, Hong Kong is a society under commercial pressure and it is hard to survive in it. I had been employed in different industries for livelihood. For example designer, visual merchandiser, art teacher, sales, customer service, ware-houseman, restaurant waiter, fishmonger, coolie, and many more. However, even after all of it I never give up on art!"

It is sad that we do this, but how many of us know someone who is only alive today because of the medicines - whether it's insulin, chemotherapy, anti-coagulants, or whatever - that was tested on animals? We can't say "no to animal testing" unless we agree to never, ever take these medicines or give them to our children, even when the only alternative is death.

I don't need my household chemicals and hygiene products tested on animals... I know they are toxic, irritant, flammable etc. Just because some people are morons and injure/kill themselves by accident or on purpose and companies are scared sh*tless of lawsuits... Medical research is a slightly different matter BUT animal testing should not be used as extensively as it is now.

'Cruelty free' products not only spare the animals suffering, they are truly safe for our skin. Those companies who test on animals do so only to find out how much of bad, harmful...and cheap ingredient they can put into their products so it would be impossible to trace those harmful substances back to them.

"Cruelty-free" products are using chemicals components that have already been deemed safe from previous testing. I know the company itself is not testing its final product, but this is misleading to say it is not tested at all and the company saves much money not having to do testing - not sure if they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts.

The only reason that animals are used to test medicines or study diseases, is because sometimes there is no other alternative... Whenever possible, tests are done on cells in petri dishes, and there is a lot of research on making organ-like tissues. This already works for skin, but for complicated organs (like kidneys) it is much harder, which is why it's not possible. Hopefully, it will become possible though. But for now, if we want to skip the animal testing fase, we have to nearly immediately test on humans. This would cause a lot of deaths, or chronic diseases. So that option is not ethical at all. And for certain studies, it's necessary that the organisms being studies are genetically the same. If those studies would use humans, they would have to use identical twins... But getting genetically the same mice or rats is fairly easy. I agree that whenever possible, animal testing should be avoided. Sometimes it's just not possible. Yet.

Humans shouldn’t be testing deadly stuff on animals. I have a similar story but with my mom. She was asked to give her dog Blitz for Makeup testing and she refused. So in the middle of the night the company stole Blitz and tested her anyway and she died because of the makeup so then they wanted to see if they could put off a dead dogs head on a living dogs body or the other way around. My mom was shown a photo of the dogs body, head cut off. Really Sad. Don’t test on animals. We should be the ones to test on ourselves. The cruel people should be tested on. So sad :c

Don’t worry, the company got sued for the millions of dogs they stole and killed, but the owners can’t get a new Fido, or Blitz,Max, a little money doesnt make up for the sweet innocent dogs murdered for money.

"People" eat billions upon the billions of animals, use billions of gallons of their milk and tons of their eggs.....as a direct consequence of this animal protein and cholesterol diet, these "wise" people get all kinds of painful inflammations, diseases, and failing organs (yes, your body has to work very hard to handle all that animal tissue, protein). So what the "wise" "gentle" people do next? One would say, they stop ravaging their bodies and the planet. Oh, no...they will heinously torture more animals in laboratories (even though superior, more reliable, extremely accurate non-animal testing methods are available)...to cure themselves!!!! Don't that make you vomit?

Your comments make me want to eat more meat... I love meat. Live off meat. Eat it everyday with no inflammatory issues. Or really any issues. 32 ys old. Great shape even on the light side of weight. The human body is designed to eat meat. And to help with your arguments, perhaps you should use researched numbers not just billions or tons. And what type of tons? Metric?

We need to! No matter what, ape lives are valued more than other lives. If this medical research will save lives, it needs to be done. Of course, if we have alternatives to animals, we should always use the alternatives, but if we don't, then we need to use the rats!

I want to start by saying that I love animals, and rats/rodents in general are some of my faves. That being said, there are certain instances in which it would be infeasible or considerably more unethical to test certain products or drugs on human subjects. I feel that, as long as the animals are bred in captivity for the express purpose of experimentation, and they are treated and eventually euthanized as humanely as possible within experiments expressly designed to limit the suffering and death of human beings or other animals/plants/environment, then it is essentially OK. Think of it as the trolley problem. Do you kill 10,000 rats to save 100 humans, or even one? I'd have to say so, especially if the aforementioned conditions are met, and we show respect for these and other creatures, especially when and where we have encroached upon their natural habitats or have been expressly bred for our benefit.

I am sorry but this 1 is misinformed. Animal testing is largely non damaging/hurtfull to the animanls tested. And the ones that are not, are ethically examined before being authorzed. Animal models to test out treaments are necessary, otherwise we would have to test them directly on humans, which, of course would be worse.

cjucz22 avatar

mattiauk, if testing on animals is non damaging or hurtful to the animals tested, so why it would be damaging or hurtful to human subjects? And what the hell it means to be "ethically examined before being authorized.".....for painful testing??? Please explained. Would you be willing to be tested on if it's not hurtful or damaging? Please read the reply to John (above your comment) and Tessa. Animal models are not reliable, there are so many drugs which not only don't work but cause serious health problems and death. Non-animal testing methods are available, they are superior to animal testing, are accurate.

I'm sick of hearing how human life and happiness and longevity is worth more than nonhuman life of any kind. Humans evolved just like their fellow animals, and there's nothing (beyond fairy tale religious texts and fanatical ideas) to indicate our superiority. Nothing. You want to test for everything from lipstick to genetic illness and beyond, use death-row inmates who have a last-ditch need to do something decent, or volunteer for when the time comes that so-called governments don't dictate personal choices about life and death. Life isn't sacred in a physical sense, only when the poor body lets go the reality. At that time, everything is easy.

One lab is digging into its freezer to thaw out the archived sperm of SARS-susceptible mice. Another is anesthetizing ferrets so they don’t sneeze when the new coronavirus is squirted into their nostrils. Yet others are racing to infect macaques, marmosets, and African green monkeys. Those animals could prove critical for understanding how Covid-19 works — and for concocting vaccines and treatments to stop its sweep. Every day, it seems another company announces an attempt to make its own virus-fighting vials. But to test an experimental formulation, scientists can’t just jump from Petri dishes into people. They need to try it in critters first, to check that the stuff is safe and effective.

because we test many vaccines on you, my friend. your body is pretty similar to ours, and if the vaccine works on you it will probably work on many others, and if it doesn't then we will know what not to do, so you being tested will save many from diseases like Covid-19. thank you for serving our country/world.
