Men need their space. But so, too, do women. But while some men prefer to dwell in their Man Caves, some woman prefers an alternative housing to relax. Such as the She-Shed.

Whereas Man Caves are usually a part of the house somehow, say hidden in the basement or the garage perhaps, She-Sheds are typically situated in the garden. There are no set rules for how this kind of garden shed should be constructed. Some make their shed plans considering reading areas while others use their She-Sheds as craft rooms or even miniature yoga studios.

Want a She-Shed but don't know where to begin with this DIY project? Then take a look at the shed design pictures below where you might just find some inspiration. That applies to you too, guys. Go on. Don't worry. We won't tell anyone.

I don't understand the roof, would love to see more of how this was built. Very beautiful and warm.

I adore the Victorian exterior but would like to see some soft prints of a "shabby-chic" on the furniture and pillows.

Pretty small, but it also looks more affordable and easier to build than some of the more elaborate one. More realistic for people on a budget.

ALL these people must have plenty of money, you could not afford to build these in the UK unless you are a politician or have won the lottery, but if you had won the lottery why would you still live in the UK instead of living somewhere you are not getting ripped off every time you step outdoors.

Richard I lived in UK for 4 years and I can't imagine how you can't afford it? I worked in a factory and could easily save money... Plus, it's not THAT expensive, a little bit of imagination and some thinking and you build them really cheap.

I love this! The floors are beautiful and I love the simple furniture and the corner stove. Yes, sheds like this can double as a secondary living space easily, and I'm sure are pretty expensive; that being said some folks will spend their money on projects like this versus taking trips or making other pricey purchases.

I know a young lady who lives in the UK with her mom, and they built one in their backyard as an artists studio. Nothing elaborate, but super cute. They are not wealthy.

Can't people just like the picture instead of putting a downer on it and using it as a platform for the latest rant about the government?! I'm sure there are posts, pages and groups for that sort of thing. In the meantime, get a grip and enjoy the picture, for heavens sake!

In the United States we can definitely afford to have these made. In fact, most people would make em themselves.

Not my style AT ALL but I like the dutch door, the idea of the table set (I would go w black, green, cream wrought iron and some vines or MAYBE I would get girly enuf to do peach colored roses), I also love the plants. Normally, I go w dark green, light olive green, chocolate brown, cream etc... But I am beginning to appreciate oranges even yellows. Do long as they're not to brite

Love the mosquito netting for that graceful texture of folds that pick up the dust ruffle flow.

This does it all for me from the fiesta colours, the fireplace, the bricks, the planter candelabra. When might I move in?

This rock garden once surrounded an old maple until Super Storm Sandy knocked in down so I built a gazebo with a she cave fully completed with electric, sheetrock, paint, trim and flooring. It's her own personal space. 1-570bcbb1e39c2.jpg 1-570bcbb1e39c2.jpg

This feels more like a guy's place, that was designed by a woman.
