Women Are Encouraging #SexStrike To Protest Abortion Laws And People Are Divided
In today’s society, we are currently facing a battle between human rights, liberty to choose for yourself, and laws that are constructed by ideologies and based on moral questions that nobody can have a correct answer to. So there is no surprise that people are constantly looking for ways to stand up for themselves and their freedom to choose the life they want to live. This debate seems rather simple in theory but when it comes to unborn children, motherhood, and women’s right to abortions, it always gets messy.
Recently, Georgia joined Kentucky, Mississippi and a few other states that recently outlawed abortion at roughly six weeks calling it a “heartbeat” bill. This law has caused a massive outrage with many celebrities joining in.
Alyssa Milano, an actress who is mostly known for her role in Charmed has recently been very active when it comes to women’s rights
She has taken part in spreading the #metoo movement, she also spoke at the 2018 Women’s March. This year, she took her activism to a new level by encouraging women to participate in a new strike.
She has taken to Twitter to protest the bill outlawing abortions at roughly 6 weeks
One of the biggest factors when it comes to protesting this law is the fact that the majority of women don’t even know they are pregnant at this stage of their pregnancy.
While some women totally agreed with this strike and decided to participate
Others believe this is only a step towards preaching conservative ideas and promoting abstinence over pro-choice
Others were disappointed since this strike only devalues women even more (edited)

I think her point is that legislators need to get the f#*k out of our bedrooms. Gov't can't/shouldnt legislate morality, and when they do, it's often to distract Americans from other BS they are up to. Yeah, in a perfect world, we all wear rubbers.

100% of unwanted pregnancies are caused by men. Yet we don't see men being shamed for knocking a girl up the woman gets shamed instead.
Not sure about the 100% statistics, since life is too complicated to point fingers. But I think men are less shamed when it happens because for them it's easier to hide it. I mean, they don't get the baby belly.

Usually it's better to fight the cause instead of the symptoms. Sadly with abortion this isn't the case. Women don't choose to get raped and become pregnant. Any lawmaker that is prohibiting victims of rape to have the pregnancy terminated under safe medical conditions is a monster. There are enough reasons for a woman to decide to have an abortion, which she even shouldn't have to explain. Lawmakers have no right to declare these women murderers by reinstating medieval laws. Luckily there's a lot of medication available on the internet to end pregnancies.
A "sex strike" won't change abortion laws. Use logic and facts, not WE WONT HAVE SEX WITH YOU UNLESS YOU CHANGE THIS. Because as a woman, it feels insulting to hear that. I don't owe you sex, so not having sex changes nothing if that's the case. This sounds as if we owe men sex and that it's something they need. SMH
I vote for men to get a vasectomy until both side are ready and agrees to have babies. No need to ask them, sperm is life! so they're not entitled to decide over their bodies as long as they're holding life inside of them

Rape and conteseptive failure, both uncontrollable by the woman and often result in a woman forced to go through expenses they can’t afford, immense pain and restrictions, and they are born into a unprepared family
This is problematic from a relationship stand point. You should not be punishing your significant by withhold sex (or really punishing them at all). I also agree that it makes it seem like sex is for men.

I'm not triggered and I'm supportive of gender equality and abortion rights but this is stupid, the line between pro life/choice is not determined by your gender. My girlfriend refusing to have sex with me, someone who is pro-choice is not going to change the mind of Ben Shapiro types it's also unlikely his wife who more than likely is also pro life is going to refuse him sex in order to achieve something she does not believe in. When you actually consider the argument they're making, that abortion is murder performed by the state you got ask yourself is a sex ban going to make them change their minds if they consider the stakes so high, it would be like my GF trying to convince me to support the rights of the south to keep slaves by withholding sex it's just too important a topic.

Abortions should only be used In certain situations. Like, for example, rape, incest, teen pregnancies, when the mother cannot afford to have a child, when the pregnancy is dangerous for the mother and/or child. That's why I consider myself pro choice. Abortions are bad, yes, because something that could grow to be a human being is killed, but sometimes, it's needed.
