Chrissy Teigen Reveals The Dark Part Of Giving Birth And The Internet Can’t Handle The Truth

Christine Teigen is known for always keeping it real, no matter if it’s a horrible 8-hour flight to nowhere or someone asking why a woman wouldn’t take her husband’s name. The woes and wonders of getting pregnant and giving birth are no exception in this case and Teigen has shared those moments with the world.

On May 17, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend announced the birth of their second child, a baby boy named Miles Theodore Stephens. With kind words and compliments pouring from every corner of social media to the famous couple, Chrissy took her time to share her experiences on pregnancy and raising kids and relief over a certain detail. “I can confirm postpartum life is 90% better when you don’t rip to your butthole,” she said. We are happy for Chrissy and her family and cannot wait for new adventures with their little kids!

"Dark Part Of Giving Birth" with an apparently more or les normal birth, more or less common post-patrum issues and a healthy child? We had these series about mothers who are heroes here, and those showed the complications and challenges! "The Truth" from a celebrity who co-exists with the illusions created via social media? These people live a live non comparable to 99,9% of the people, and what they put on social media is selected and tailored. All of it, every time, no exceptions, even if we are to be made believe otherwise because it is "crissy" (as if anyone reading her tweets would actually know her personally). But, to stay with the ductus as of late, "Hans passive-aggressively reveals brutally honest truth about social media postings". (I would totally upvote that series!)

Dudes, hush. Chrissy is sharing what we moms know to be truth. And she's being heard (you even heard her) because she's famous. If I told you that I shat myself while pushing out a 10 lb baby, would you tell me TMI and run away. But Chrissy and her lady followers are saying "Oh my. I feel ya, here..have a seat while I tell you mine" and we bond. If the dudes don't bond, that's okay. It doesn't always need to include you.

it's almost like she's an actual human being who experiences what actual human beings experience. What she's doing is using her voice to educate people, because she has a voice that people want to listen too, that's a part of fame, people listen. Well done on saying important things that educate people. Also, cool pink harp!

They really should show graphic birthing videos and tell stories of torn perineums and lochia to teenage girls. If I'd seen/heard them before I was in my ante-natal class I might never have become pregnant.

I remember being so scared of pooping myself I never thought I'd bring cut open. Took 10 years before it didn't hurt anymore and the male doctor made the old stupid joke wink wink threw an extra stitch in there for ya to my daughter's father. Jokes on him we never had sex again.

Why are you ladies all "guys, you dont know s**t"? My wife gave birth to 2 kids and she was surprised by how little she was informed of "the dark side". Connecting with the kid takes time. Depression. You have no idea what do to with the little guy. Etc. All you read about is how wonderful it is, how you instantly love your child more than life itself and how all the pain just goes away after you first look at those newborn eyes.

I think everyone's mostly angry about that first arsehole up there who immediately started whingeing that giving birth isn't difficult and that there are other people out there who deserve more attention--on a post about giving birth.

Lord I get tired of hearing women say how "beautiful it is to give birth" but all they ever post on line are birthing-horror stories the likes of which Stephen King couldn't dream up. Men are soooooo glad we don't have to do more than be cheerleaders

It’s ignorant and reflects badly on your character for the fact that you said what you said. For a long time, women truly only shown the ‘positive’ part of having a child, but in recent years women started to share more and more about what actually happens; the bad, horrific parts, etc. and it’s immature of you to say ‘ men are [sooooo] glad etc’. Believe it or not, many teens still don’t know about the horrific side of going through labor. Also, it is immature of you to say ‘hearing women say’ — since not all women believe it is beautiful to give birth. Lots of women don’t have children and one of the reasons is precisely because we know giving birth is an unpredictable experience that’s painful. Stop making guys look bad, Gerry.

At this point, I think it's safe to say, there ARE no more unspoken parts of childbirth, thanks to the internet. I'm not bitchin'. I actually really laughed out loud at this (2 episiotomies here, TYVM), but I wish we'd stop acting like these are secrets that haven't been shared over and over on the internet, at this point.

Her sassy attitude. Some models aren’t as famous because they don’t have the kind of commentary that gets some people’s attention she does— also, she made fun of trump few times, which probably helped her get more fans.
