Well most of these are super gross , the one with "women are only after money "and constantly depicting them as pregnant , birthing machines ( like the one with the soldier the only role of the woman is her birthing and getting married it doesn't depict her dreams or how her life is changing) I like the style but the artist lacks originality and is basically drawing for shock value without deeper meaning to his paintings.

@KatherineDunn - I think that's the point of the illustration. These are satirical depictions to illustrate what is wrong with today's society and viewpoints.

It is called sarcasm for a reason. Also if you look at history you see all of what is depicted frequently. If you don't like how these things are depicted live your life in a way that changes how people think of these topics. Be the example, don't just take you frustration out on the person giving light to the topics.

Well this are satirical cartoons of TODAY'S society, so I don't think it's quite that bad. I think it's rather accurate, as I'm seeing it saying couples are cheating for sex and have prioritized sexual satisfaction over other things. Cuz if you look, Satan's leaf is also bigger than Adam's, not just the apple sizes. So yeah, highest bidder, biggest penis/breasts/a*s.. I do see the gender argument but I feel a bigger message is being sent by this picture if we don't focus on the genders and remember this is talking about our society NOW, and not our society's past.

I will ahree with your assessment on women being blamed for all of societies ills...but this is meant to poke fun at how absurd that is...if you look again...it's all about the fig leaf. I found it quite amusing

I think woman's unsatisfaction and wanting more is a reason of progress. Otherwise, man is satisfied with a tiny apple, wifi and remote control.

I agree its not fair to imply all women are like this, but I dont think he is saying that. i think all he is saying is that this does happen, which it does. just highlighting an unfortunate aspect of people, and in my opinion, men do far far worse, which he also depicts.

We've been told in our religious studies by a Catholic priest that the whole apple things was an euphemism for sex. In that sense, if you look at it, the devil has a larger 'apple' than Adam.

yes agree with u on this artists depiction of it - not right.. on a personal note i always thought the serpent tempted eve first because she was less likely to put up a fight and once won over adam would follow the girl (and hence serpent).. washed some homeless dogs (rid of their fleas) at the shelter the other day and the females didnt struggle much, but the males are usually inclined to put up a fight.. or maybe i jst smelt bad..

that's human nature. not only women. people always accept something better if they are offered. it makes total sense. you'll always accept a better job, better food, a better education, a better partner.

funny how you feel offended about it. mr. crisan is only showing us, in his opinion, a different version of this bible scene. he never implied women in general to be like that.

Early in animal (ours, too) evolution, the male needed to prove the best provider, nest builder, hunter, fighter, protector. These are attributes that ensure good offspring and the female chose the best suitor. Since we no longer have to hunt to be a good provider, it is wealth that attracts the female as the provider, protector and the ability to sustain offspring. This is not true of all human females, but in many cases... yes.

The Bible never one time blames woman for bringing sin it not the world but continually blames Adam. It was his responsibility to protect, nurture, and nourish his wife. It was his failure that resulted in her mistake so the Bible blames Adam and Adam alone.

So naive of you. I think you're smart enough that satirical cartoons use representations a lot, and Adam&Eve is a classical representation of the role of men and women in general. They're the 1st humans on earth, from where everything began. Makes sense that they're the embodiment of the whole human kind (according to the bible of course)
