Someone Modified A Roomba To Curse When It Bumps Into Things And It’s Hilarious
If you, like me, were unfamiliar with the name Roomba, it is one of those robot vacuum cleaner thingies, which are now much more common and popular than I realized. Apparently, I’m still stuck in the middle ages, vacuuming away in analog like an absolute sucker.

Anyway, like all modern technology, the designs for these robot vacuums are always being constantly modified and refined, to make them smarter, quieter and more efficient.
Technology YouTuber Michael Reeves, known for his colorful language and clever but ultimately pointless robots, decided to take a different approach, however, by responding to his followers’ requests to make a Roomba vacuum that screams and curses when it bumps into stuff.
After some unusual engineering, Michael Reeves created a monster
Reeves, whose YouTube channel boasts over 2.2 million followers, did not seem overly enthusiastic about the home appliance idea and enlisted the help of fellow tech bloggers iDubbbz, MaxMoeFoe, and LilyPichu to lend their swearing voices and inspiration to the project.
Eventually, they come up with a whiney, potty-mouthed machine full of self-pity and existential dread, which Reeves then took to his local Target store for some ‘market research.’
A Rude Roomba that screams and curses when it bumps into stuff
He took the modified machine to his local Target store for some ‘market research’
The responses were mixed, with some laughs and bemused looks
He even tried to ‘return’ the apparently ‘malfunctioning’ Roomba, much to the shocked amusement of staff
In the end, Reeves concludes that the general public is not ready for the rude and rambunctious Roomba. “It appears as though our invention is simply too far ahead of its time,” he says. “The world isn’t ready for the Roomba that screams swear words when it bumps into things and I’m okay with that.”

Share on FacebookI want a microwave that screams at me in a Gordon Ramsey voice when my food is f****** done.
Both my roombas are more likely say “We don’t work anymore and no one can fix us”.
And a scale that says "get the f**k off me, fatass or ouch" something programmable maybe since not everyone likes my humor, lol
I'd get one just so I could swear back at it. You didn't see the wall you stupid @%#&ing %$@#?
I really want that Roomba! Bonus points because it would scare the s**t out of my 100 pound big baby, afraid of his own shadow, furry, shedding chicken
Please tell me one of the programmed responses is "g*ddamnsumb!tch who F*cking put that there?"

Now that would be effective! At least the first few days.

Teach it to say, "Here Kitty Kitty Kitty!" when my baby sister's cats ride it! I would definitely buy that!
I need one, but preferably one I can record my own swearing onto, heh. Keep everyone in the house confused that way.
not hard. It just triggers an audio file to play. most 'synthesized speech' is actually pre-recorded. Like elevators. I know this because I once, jokingly, suggested that for April Fools we have the elevators reprogrammed to speak in Hal 2000's voice, and greet people, "Good Morning, Dave. Would you like to stop on the thirteenth floor, Dave?" (and, for the record, the VIP's a I made the joke to liked it enough to insist it get done.)
Load More Replies...I’m not a fan of Roomba, but one that curses will definitely make me open my wallet just for the entertainment value. ❤️😂🤣😍
Wen I envision a voicefor roomba I get marvin from hitchhiker guide to the Galaxy done by Alan Rickman... So itll give out the funny but miserable Vibe
I would want that female voice and it also must clean the floor not just run into things to voice it's anger.
I need that at my home for a comidey show just keep in a 40 by 40 box.
The last thing we need is this kid's filthy mouth. I curse a lot ... in private. I don't need my Roomba cursing everytime it hits something. If the remarks were clever and funny, that would be different, but these are just random curses. Not very funny at all. Just my opinion. If you like this sort of thing, enjoy.
I want a Roku Tv that says "Shut the f**k up, you tiny dicked orange thin skinned racist a*****e" during Trump rallies on CNN.
GEEKS lol This roomba is funny at first but after a while people would get tired of it.
By the way, here are the official video, a must check! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvz3LRK263E
I already had to put my weiner dog on sedatives due (in part) to a regular roomba. The shock of this one might kill him.
I was smiling at the idea until that inexplicably long video annoyed the hell out of me.

Swearing happens in every language and always has - humans have a need to use language to express something extreme in a short, sharp word. It wouldn't be a common factor if they didn't. You can dislike it, of course, and be critical of those that do swear but it's not going to go away.
