Hey BP, you're just as much at fault at this point. If Robin's family has been asking for this to stop, you're making the problem worse, not better.

They were asking people to stop sending the video to them. They objected that the video was portraying a painful time of Robin's life. But they did say he was talented. They didn't say they shouldn't make a biopic.

Just to add that Zelda Williams has asked that people please STOP sending her this on social media. It's hurting her to see it, no matter how clever it is. https://twitter.com/zeldawilliams/status/1448018948021055490?t=LrZaEo5C-ZWZL1gZuIFJFQ&s=19

Why would ANYONE think it would be a good idea to sent it to her? Seriously... how utterly clueless would you have to be to think that was a good idea.

I agree with the last few comments. My dad just passed last year n as much as I love to see photos n videos of him from his old friends.... sometimes it's just too difficult to look at. So I couldn't imagine seeing some stranger impersonating my father while a bunch of other strangers tag me in the videos n they rally to make a whole movie about his life. If the family isn't for it then leave it alone. But I also don't agree with ppl still sharing this story even though the family has asked to stop. Maybe let this one fade away BP

Just as Jim Carey channelled Andy Kaufman, and it was Good(tm). This can happen with sincerity and compassion.

Same with Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody or Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles in Ray. Very clear in this short that Costa has the deepest respect for Williams.

There is actually a clause in his will that his likeness or material cannot be used for 25 years after his death... I think someone impersonating him and trying to "tell his story" or whatever, is really pushing, if not violating, that wish...

poor baby. imagine not only having to hear your late dad's name all the tame but also being constantly spammed with messages like "look how awesome this dude is that looks like your dad but isn't" as if it would bring him back...

I'm just here to spread the genius of my favorite Robin William's movie"Death To Smoochie" w Ed Norton. It earned its R rating. Not too many movies where he played the bad guy. "One Hour Photo" is another

Great performance. I miss Robin Williams and I never knew him personally, but I would have loved to have met him he was such an inspiration. Miss you Robin Williams

I think it's disrespectful to Robin Williams and his family to abuse his unique and unsurpassed comedy genius for money or personal gain. We all miss him and a surrogate will never be able to compensate for the loss. The sooner this hype is over, the better it is.

His family is being d***s about this. Robin was a beloved PUBLIC figure. I could see if this was an impression of Robin with his family and portraying personal and private moments with them, but it's not. They should appreciate how much he was loved by so many, how he's *still* loved by so many. Be thankful for that and the legacy your father left you. You were privileged to be a part of his life, but he was also a part of ours.
