Today In Iceland, We Woke With The Highest Amount Of Snow Ever Recorded In February
During this night it’s been one of the most intense snowfalls I’ve experienced. We literally got 51 centimeters (like 20″) of snow in a few hours.
I woke up at 3 AM by the sound of some trees breaking in my backyard. So I decided to get out and take some photos. Pretty glad I did.

Share on FacebookCrazy to think in another part of the world you are getting record setting snow in feb, and where I live, we just set the record for the warmest february on record (which goes back 140 years). We've already had a couple 80 degree days, and a thunderstorm (tomorrow chance there's tornadoes), usually we are getting snow in February!
Hey. Where are the rest of the pics? I don't want just one? Please show the others too.
Thank you! Lovely pics. I can look at pics like these the whole day. What was the temperature like?
These are gorgeous scenes. Everything looks so beautiful and peaceful and I would go bat-sh*t crazy dealing with that much snow!! I really really don't care for the stuff.
If your name is Gunnar Gunnarsson does it mean your fathers name was also Gunnar Gunnarsson? And if you give your son name Gunnar will he also be Gunnar Gunnarsson?
Thank you for the beautiful pictures! Visiting Iceland is the very 1st wish on my bucket list. What a gorgeous country, with such unique geography and culture!
I'm expecting almost 20 degrees next week (Celsius I don't know it in Fahrenheit) and last year was an ice storm the same time and minus 20 (again Celsius)
I have the perfect product for all fans of Adobe Lightroom and Winter in Iceland: A special Lightroom preset collection with 50 presets featuring 26 of the most famous spots and also different weather and lighting situations.
