Tumblr Users Create A Spy Movie Plot With Reversed Genders Roles And It Will Crack You Up
Have you ever noticed that most spy movies are oddly similar? That’s probably because they often use the same gender stereotypes. A protagonist is almost always a middle-aged man who saves a young woman he’s romantically involved with, even when she’s perfectly capable of saving herself. Tumblr users who are way too familiar with this cliche decided to spice things up and write their own movie plot. However, their plot has an excellent twist – reverse gender roles. The result is both hilarious and ridiculous, and unfortunately, it’s safe to say that we’ll never see a movie of its kind in theaters. Scroll below to see why!

This sounds awesome, and of course, I'll watch anything with Helen Mirrin and Lucy Liu.
Thus far, I've watched everything with Helen Mirren in it, even if the movies themselves didn't interest me, because it's Helen Mirren, gorrammit!

OMG!! Lucy Lawless! Theres a throwback. It all sounded like a Dirk Pitt/Al Giordino book..
I think one of the only movies that has the least gender stereotypes is Mission Impossible: Fallout. I mean, it still has some, but Ethan doesn't necessarily save hus girl, and the female characters in the movie are portrayed as strong minded, strong willed people
If it's a Bond ripoff they need a badass veteran man to tell them what to do and put them in place, but still love and respect them like a dad (a la Dame Judi Dench), or a man that is a bit of an idiot, but good for expanding the plot quickly (all the male M's) :)
If the writing was good and the acting was good, I'd see it too. I don't care what traditionally male/female roles everyone is playing. Is it a decent freaking movie? Yeah? Then get me a ticket.
Good is good. Cliches, no cliches, sexy people, no sexy people, who cares? If it's good I'll see it.

Bonus scene: Someone shoots at a car. It crashed but does NOT explode. GASP!
It is sad that this is so funny. At least this would pass the Bechdel test!
It is not good to force things, look what happened with ghostbusters ...total disaster..but, for example, Charlie angels was good!, the movie was made that way....imagine Charlie angels with all men....I think it would be total c**p... This movie might be good , who knows , but don´t try to change others work to introduce things so some can feel more "comfortable"....don´t you see it ruins the whole thing? People (most) dont care about seeing differnt races on a movie or videogame or whatever...they just enjoy and don´t get offended by stupid things. If you want a samurai movie lets put black-pregnant-transgender ninjas on the plot and you, humanity must love it because its diversity.......It looks like nowadays everything is offensive....
Didn't the latest Ghost busters try to do this in a way? I haven't seen it so it might not be to such an effective degree but I heard good things about Chris Hemsworths character.
Ghostbusters was dreadful. Terribly, terribly written. It snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I tried to watch it again to see if maybe I was wrong the first time but nope. It's just awful.
