Alan, You Will Always Be With Us...
I'm not really comfortable with this, TBH - the tributes all seem to be for a CHARACTER, not Alan himself. It's the MAN who died; no matter how beloved a character might be (who was created by a third party, after all), surely it's the man himself who should be recognised and celebrated for who he was, not through who he pretended to be for a living?
I think we must commemorate the great person that was Alan Rickman, instead of Severus Snape. Alan Rickman was actually annoyed that people knew him, not for his theatre work or other movie roles, but because he had portrayed the poignant potions professor from a book series. If you truly wish to remember Alan Rickman, learn more about his life and the ideals that he believed in and keep HIM alive. Severus Snape was only one of the wonderful characters Alan had portrayed, that too beautifully.
IT WOULD BE REALLY NICE IF SOMEONE WOULD DO HIS DOGMA CHARACTER! OR HIS HITCHHIKER GUIDE TO THE GALAXY, GALAXY QUEST OR AND OTHER MOVIE HE WASN'T A ONE HIT WONDER! COME ON AT LEAST BE FANS OF HIS WHOLE CAREER!
Every roll he's Done from dogma to harry potter he was the best so many of my favorite celebrities died this year this one actually made me cry...
madass great mean/scary/yet touching he did so well !!!
There was so much more to Alan Rickman than Prof. Snape. Get yourself acquainted with the scheming Revd Slope, the daring Hans Gruber, the insane Sheriff of Nottingham and the secretive Karl Hoffmeister. He portrayed the negative shades with so much detail but he was equally convincing as colonel Brandon and as Jamie, the ghost. RIP Alan Rickman! I wish I could watch one of your theatre performances.
Good bye, Colonel Brandon. Thank you for everything, always. Safe Journey! <3

When Mr. Rickman left us and I found out, that was the first time I was deeply sad from the death of a famous person. He was my huge part of a childhood. You know, I am that kind of a person who don't read book after watching movie, when HP came out, I was small and watching only movies, two last books came out when I was ready and pretty excited to read them.So in book my visualisation of Snape was just Alan. I hated him, even more than Voldemort, before I revealed the truth about him.And you know...the line between hate and love is tight that much, it is sometimes even uncomfortable.I started to love him, because his acting was tempting me hate his "bad guy" role, even started regretting that I actually most of the time hated his role.My hate grew to love immediatelly.Every after I was watching HP, I was watching it because of Snape and story of three friends and world upon their shoulders. Seeing him was making me sad. At the end, I cry everytime. Let his soul rest in peace. Always<3
