After being rescued as a young fox cub, Todd the 11-month-old fox is getting along just fine as a domestic pet together with his owner, Emma D’Sylva.
Todd goes for walks on a leash, plays with D’Sylva’s two other dogs, and wags his tail when it’s time to eat. He was rescued by D’Sylva when he was 4 months old from other owners who could no longer care for him. Read on for more of his story, with quotes from Dailymail.

Todd came to Emma when he was 4 months old
Now 11 months old, he acts just like her dogs
“He will run up to me wagging his tail when I go to feed him and roll over to have his belly tickled”
“He tries to do what the dogs do but I can’t let him off the lead because he’s deaf so I can’t shout him to come back”
“He gets on with my two dogs, and wants to play with them all the time”
“He’s really getting used to things now and I’m looking forward to letting more and more people meet him”
“Todd went out on his first school visit the other week and the children really enjoyed stroking him while he was in my arms”

He's lovely. He resembles the Russian foxes that were bred to be friendly. Wonder if he was one of those.
Cool allthough they are not really domesticated. So she should be carefull. But wow he is beatifull
I think that's a Belyaev fox - they are domesticated and that that non-standard colouring pattern. Article should have mentioned that though

You must know some very odd Corgis! Was it the short sturdy legs, the long, low body, coloring or the lack of tail that looks like one?? KIDDING!

Looking at the fur pattern and mottling, that's a domestic experimental fox. That's not a natural fur pattern.
Wow he's beautiful. Ive always wanted a pet fox after I saw fox and the hound. :)
I think it's wonderful she has rescued him and has given him a chance... He is loved and he knows it. They are smart animals
A wild animal still has instincts and could attack for whatever reason if it feels threatened. Perhaps donating it to the city zoo ?
Not cool. That fox should have been taken to a certified rehabber. Now people will see this and think, oh yeah I want one.
However, there are many rescue foxes from the wild which have also become loving to the people who raised them-all over the Internet.
A Baluaev fox really is a fox-they were part of an experiment to breed friendlier foxes , by scientists. The foxes came from a fur farm.
11 months? It hasn’t had its first real challenge! Unfortunately, it is STILL a wild animal, accustomed to people and their ways. BUT, it is
Awesome. Better than being ripped up by a pack of dogs. Cute little guy. Wonder if he's housebroken.
This is amazing! <3 I wonder if they named him Todd off of the Fox and The Hound? Todd is so adorable! Wish I could have a fox as a pet. :)
Absolutely Agree with last comment!!! "Fabulous people and Animals out there, here's a sample of both!!"
Such a beautiful story. Great that he is with her, I wonder if a deaf animal can really survive on its own in the wild.

The Fox is deaf she said. It would die in the wild.
