This Pig Enjoys Painting And Has Become The World’s First Pig Artist

Joane Lefson rescued a one-month-old piglet from a slaughterhouse and soon realized that the animal was special. According to Joane, of his own free will, the little pig started painting canvases in a sanctuary located in South Africa.
The little pig is known as Pigcasso and one of his artworks has just broken a record. The artistic pig made a painting that was sold for roughly 20 thousand euros. The work, “Wild and Free”, was bought by a German person 72 hours after being put up for sale and surpassed the record for the most expensive sale of a work of art created by an animal. Before, the record belonged to the chimpanzee Congo, which sold a painting for around 14 thousand euros in 2005.

I wear goggles and a safety helmet because some jokes fall flat.
I feel confused like did they name him that before or after he started painting. Also his name is just one big dad joke

I was curious how much Pigcasso's painting are going for and let's just say some of his smaller ones are equivalent to my rent for a month. *_*
I looked it up and the minimum price was $1,700.00 U.S. Most were way more. He seems very happy, and it is very cute and interesting. But. I have paintings by a raccoon, an elephant and a cat and they were very, very affordable. Though the paintings benefit a farm animal refuge (this pig was rescued from a slaughterhouse) I wonder if they'd generate more money offering affordable items instead of (very colorful and not bad) paintings for a lot more money than most have. It's cute that when he's done, he drops the brush. His own best critic, apparently :)
