Watch Rescued Baby Sloths Have A Conversation And Try Not To Smile
Anybody out there speak sloth? Then check out this adorable video of two baby sloths deep in conversation about something. They were filmed at the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica, and although we have no idea what they’re talking about, it doesn’t really matter because cuteness clearly transcends language barriers. The Sloth Sanctuary has been officially operating as a rescue center since 1997. They research, rescue, rehabilitate, and release sloths back into the wild, and they also advocate for the conservation of the sloth’s natural habitat, namely the Costa Rican rainforest. Never knew baby sloths "talked" like that. My wife works at an "herbarium" here in Venezuela and once they rescued an adult one. They are really peaceful and adorable creatures (as all are).
Oh damn, I don't know where you find the strengh to not throw the camera to hug them all at once and pile up with them in a giant hamac. I'm all admirative of your work, I wouldn't be able to do it properly.
lol when are they are on the grass like that, isn't he just taking a poop and pee? I have seen many documentaries that say sloths only climb down once a week to the grass to relieve themselves, maybe he just wanted some privacy and was screaming at the camera person :)

They sound like when you're going to your own surprise party but you don't want to go so you give a polite yell of surprise.
I have been there. It was FANTASTIC. You're not allowed to touch the babies and that was so hard but I understand :)
Maybe she died before the sanctuary could get to her? Better they lived on in a safe place than dying very young in the wild.

Cuute! I didn't know they made some much noise either...could it be because they are in contact with humans? Like cats making more mew when they are living with humans than "in the wild"...

Two nights ago I dreamt of a tiny green sloth. It was only 2cm long. The poor thing fell between the cracked floor boards and I spent the rest of the dream looking for him. I was so worried. Hmmm - will need to analyse that...

While adorable, these are unfortunately calls of distress as they look for their mom.
This is the cutest thing i've seen in awhile. I find sloths so fascinating and adorable.
Two of them want to cuddle and be fed, two others want to find. A faster, easier way up. One is just grumpy. Apparently I do speak sloth. I didn't know that.
