30 Pictures Of Animals Who Escaped The Horror Of A Fur Farm And Now Live Happily At Sanctuaries
65Kviews
More than 50 million animals are killed for their fur each year. After spending their whole lives in tiny cages where they often suffer from aggression, auto-aggression, cannibalism, severe injuries, and stereotypy, they are killed inhumanely - by gassing or electrocution. Fortunately, some of the cute foxes and adorable minks manage to escape the horror of fur farming - with the help of an animal rights organization, an animal sanctuary, or on their own.
These animals got another chance at life. They were meant to die by a furrier's hand for “fashion,” but instead, the beautiful foxes are living their best lives at sanctuaries where they can rest, play, and explore. They are never going to be hurt again.

"Truly I'm glad you res used me, but I still ha e some trust issues..."
How could you ever look at that and think... I want to skin it alive and wear it...

Beutiful photos! Let's keep them away from the cruella devil's of the world!
I am so glad that these animals were spared a horrible fate. Aside from the animal itself, no one needs a fur coat that badly.
And there's always faux.
Faux? Um no....there's alway cotton and bamboo and viscose and a whole lot of plant products that make beautiful clothing. faux is made from synthetic fibers. Not a good option in this plastic polluted world. People need to just get off the fur idea completely.
To an extent... a lot of cheap "faux" is actually real cat or rabbit. As attested in various news articles, e.g. cats going hysterical about a toy or about specific trim on a handbag or so that turns out to be real fur.
No one ever needs a real fur coat, this is no hunter gatherer ice age.
Unless you're lost and about to die of hypothermia, I agree. Humans are terrible.
So many lovely photos! Great work!
