30 Incredible Before & After Rescue Dog Transformations Show What Love Can Do
What was in 1967 that the Beatles sang? That’s it, “All You Need Is Love.”
While the world has changed massively over the last 40 years, the mantra still rings true, as you can see from the photos of these abandoned animals who were rescued, and with a whole lot of love, had their lives turned around from their caring owners.
Though the sight of these poor stray dogs in their before state might speak volumes on animal abuse, the happy endings to their stories help us keep faith in humanity. So, what are you waiting for? Give the person next to you - or your dog or cat! - a hug and share some love! After, of course, scrolling down to this miraculous before and after photo list of rescue dogs who got truly lucky.

Our Rescued Dog Augustus Full Of Scabby Mange Before And Now
What gets me about all of these pictures (this one being one of the more obvious examples of what I'm suggesting) is the pain in their eyes and bodies. You can see their tired and hurting in the before, and by contrast they look happy and excilerated in the afters. Like they know there happy and loved. You could suggest I'm anthropomorphizing here but what do you call that. Look at their faces!

I don't get how people can be so cruel. I can understand a dog having a difficult life because it's abandoned and nobody wants to care for it, even if it's sad; but somebody purposely causing harm and setting a dog on fire??! What pleasure can you get from hurting an innocent animal whose only mistake was to be too trusting??

People that abuse and deliberately neglect animals, how do they treat the people in their lives? We probably don't want to know.
It never ceases to amaze me the resiliency of animals both physically and emotionally when they are shown what love is SUPPOSED to look like and feel like. It has the strongest healing power. So thankful these sweet babies all found homes!
As amazing as these transformations are, it breaks my heart that dogs can reach this state, especially in 1st world countries. (like the lil fellow from Montreal, for example) Just today, I thought how much happier my life is since I have a happy dog bouncing around me. They give so much JOY. It just kills me to see them so neglected and tortured.
If I ever win that lotto I would spend the rest of my days helping rescues
I don't think i can look at the photos for this one. Thank god there's people willing to bring these poor animals back from the brink
I fear that with the end of this pandemic and people go back to working in their offices and kids go back to school, that we are going to see a dramatic increase in abandoned and neglected dogs. It happens at the end of every summer when folks leave their summer retreats and leave their summer toys (a.k.a., animals) behind. I've been wanting to welcome my next dog into my life for quite some time (I've had several in the past), and now that I'm moving from a "no dogs allowed" condo into my own single-family home, first item on my list is to bring home 2 purebreds. I even had the breed and breeder all picked out. But then covid-19 happened. Now I'm holding out to adopt a puppy or dog that has been abandoned. Maybe two.

As much as I like happy endings, I can't look at many of these photos. I understand that that in 3rd world countries, where children starve, there isn't much room for caring of dogs. But in our countries?? Is it really so difficult for people to feel empathy and responsibility for the animals they decide to own?
Dozer must be one tough sob. He's sitting upright in the before pic, that's amazing
It is amazing what time, caring, love, and the funds to cover vet expenses, can do. I can't help but think of all the animals that could have been on this list if time, caring and love were enough. I've worked in an animal rehabilitation center and have had to deal with turning away too many because of inadequate funding/staff. If you are an animal lover, please consider donating to your local animal shelter/rehabilitation center. Money helps buy medications and food but you don't have to be rich to make a donation a simple call can inform you of other much needed things such as old towels, blankets, even some of your time to help cheer up and socialize the animals. A donation may seem small to you but it can make a huge difference.
After seeing the transformations, it's really hard for me to believe that there could be so many hurt and unwanted animals in the world. It's very heartbreaking.
This is why there should be stricter rules to adopting and owning dogs... to try to stop monsters (sorry I can't bring myself to calls these monsters humans) like these from ever having dogs. I know it won't stop them all but surely it can't hurt?
Last year I was on break at work and found a dog laying on the sidewalk with a plastic grocery bag tied around it's face and paws. By the time I got to him it was too late and I just started crying. Sad thing is, there was an animal hospital less than 3 blocks from where I found him who would have taken him in without question. No need to kill something you no longer want
It makes me sick to see how despicable humans can be. To treat creatures like this is inhuman. An abomination.
