This Sick Bulldog Was So Neglected That Neighbors Took Her Away From Her Owners
Kiki, an 18-month-old Bulldog, has spent most of her short life alone and suffering in a crate placed in someone’s garage. She was so malnourished and ill that the neighbors of her owners just took her from them and rushed her straight to the vet. Kiki was in such a bad shape that she has been under constant care by the rescue’s vet Dr. Kraemer and the staff Vet4Healthly Pet in Orange, California.
“She had been crated for such a long time and untreated for infections that she had open bed sores that went into her chest where she laid on unchanged bedding,” Skip Van Der Marliere, the rescue’s director who’s been fostering Kiki, told Bored Panda. “She wasn’t able to move to eat or drink.” Kiki also has autoimmune disease, scoliosis, issues with her skin and bowels. She can barely walk but Skip and his rescue are refusing to give up on her.
“Over the past two weeks on some new medications she’s started to feel better and walking more, coming out of her ‘shell’ and exploring the house more,” Skip added. “She is starting to enjoy life now, she use to just ‘lay in bed’ and accept food, water and what ever would happen to her. She is fostered with me and my husband and will stay with us. Unless we find a miracle treatment that cures a lot this, this could be a life long condition for her or at best something that is managed to some extent.”

Do we know if anything happened to the owners this beautiful dog was taken from? As in, were they charged? Will they suffer any consequences for allowing this pup to suffer so? And yes, please update us in a few months with some new pics and news about improvements in Kiki's health. And thanks for sharing.
and what about the f*****g owners? if you are going to print things like this time and time again, but no follow up or word on the punishment of the 'owners' then you are not doing your job as journalists in my opinion. One sided reporting. I am happy to know that Kiki is safe and doing better.
