Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Painted As The Renaissance Painters They Were Named After
New York-based New Zealand Artist Owen Dippie has painted a mural of four Renaissance Artists, Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo and Donatello, as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Painted on a wall running along a railway track in Brooklyn, Dippie has taken the four Renaissance men and given them masks as worn by the Ninja Turtles who were named after them.
A fan of Renaissance art and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Owen’s latest creation is also a matter of “respect.”
“I am a child of popular culture and am inspired by my heroes,” said Owen. “By involving them in my art I pay my utmost respect to them in the best way I know how.”

This is an old concept. He can't say now that it's his own idea. You can find this on websites since 2009. Anyway I liked the concept when I saw it for the first time.
I think it's more about the art, nothing is really truly original concept anymore...
