The Difference Between Relationship Expectations Vs. The Reality In 20 Illustrations
Big-budget Hollywood movies and polished Instagram feeds might give you the impression that romantic relationships have to be perfect and only exist with cute couples. Well, they can't. And when you let go of the popular obsession with unachievable idealistic love, impossible relationship advice to you allow room for your perfectly imperfect long term relationship to blossom.
To highlight this point, Bored Panda has made some cute drawings to illustrate the differences between what's usually expected of romantic moments and their true forms. From snacking in bed to sleeping poses and beyond, the outcome of your attempt to create something special doesn't matter, it's what you make of it that does. And there's no better person to make the best of the mundane than your significant other. Scroll down to check out the expectations vs reality fun comics and fire up our other original funny comics series once you're done (21 Ways Your Life Changes From Your 20s To Your 30s, 20 Brutally Honest Comics That Show How Your Life Changes After Having Kids).

Load More Replies...Exactly, men should not get a prize for everyday mundane household work that needs to be done, just do it and stfu. There's no gold star for putting some plates in a dishwasher.
Load More Replies...To all single guys, this is the truth. They'll appreciate it more if you help them with the chores.
I don’t agree with this. A person who uses dishes doing dishes is an expectation and reality. I’d rather have the flowers and we both do dishes when necessary.
You’d rather your boyfriend give you the “gift” of cleaning up after himself like a normal person? That’s hardly a gift.

YES. My hair's literally EVERYWHERE. My bf recently told me he's happy I have so much hair, or I'd be bold by now!
The trick is to procrastinate until someone chooses out of sheer frustration...
Didn't really pay much attention to the comics, just finding the hidden pandas. Some were like a crack in the sidewalk, some hit me like a brick.
Are these really "expectations" vs "reality"? I feel like all of the above situations are in fact all of the possible shades of every single relationship.
Wow. This is the very only elaborate comment I could find in this topic. Everyone else must have a simple, but really awful life.
Load More Replies...wow. how original and cute. never seen anything live this or even the same s**t billions of times on BP before
I didn't even focus on the comics (having never been in a relationship), but instead was looking for the hidden pandas. Some of them were pretty hard to spot, nice job!
Nice to see the inclusion (two, at least) of same-sex couples. Thank you for that. Now, as for the ubiquitous Game of Thrones reference ...
Once I noticed the first hidden panda, all bets were off for reading the cartoons.
