Owners Keep Reducing The Size Of A Hole For Their Cat To See When It Will Finally Stop Him

Internet challenges aren’t just for people. One recent online dare has kitties squeezing through smaller and smaller holes, trying to answer one of the oldest questions in the universe: Are cats really liquid?

Pusic (who is known to Bored Panda readers as the cat who went crazy in a room full of toilet paper) also joined the study. During the study, he tried to make his way through 8 to 4-inch (20 to 10-centimeter) wide gaps. Watch the video below to check out how he did it!

More info: catpusic.com | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube

“Since Pusic is a very strong cat, a simple cardboard barrier wouldn’t have been enough for the challenge,” his owners told Bored Panda. “We had to come up with a solid design, so we chose to make it five layers thick.  On top of that, we also secured its edges and made it high enough so Pusic couldn’t simply jump over it.” After everything was ready, Pusic’s humans put 4 cameras to record him from different angles.

His owners said that Pusiс is very curious and he is always interested in learning something new. “If there isn’t much for him to do, Pusic quickly gets bored and starts constantly meowing for attention. He might even gently bite us, reminding us about his presence. Therefore, it wasn’t difficult at all to persuade him to complete this task. His curiosity took over!”

As you probably saw from the video, Pusic is in good shape. Not only does the couple keep him on a balanced diet, they also play with him every day to keep the kitty active and happy. Their games usually involve Pusic’s favorite balls and toys. “Despite the fact that Pusic is neutered, he is healthy and full of energy.”

“It’s important to spend time with our cats. They are members of people’s families so the more we communicate with them, the more they understand us.”

Here’s what people said about Pusic’s video

Cats measure openings by their whiskers. If its wide enough for their whiskers then its wide enough for their body

I did something like this to separate my cats' food. I had an open bowl for the 6lb rescue and restrictive diet for the 18lb chonker. The open bowl was located in a large plastic box with a hole in it. There was no hole size that the rescue would bother going through that the chonker wouldn't force herself through. That setup ended when I found the chonker dragging the box around because she got stuck on her way out.

I snort laughed on that one! Oh, I can picture it in my head. It's almost as fun as the time my bottle goat got her head stuck in a box of cheez-its. Girlfriend would push a little old lady down in the street for a dorito. For the record, we never intentionally fed the goat junk food. She just stole from my toddler and shamelessly inhaled anything unattended. You haven't truly lived until you've shared your house with a goat! 🤪😳

Funny thing is, cats can be both liquids and solids depending on their stress and comfort levels. It´s true. A group won the ig nobel prize for it.

I heard that if they get the head through, the body just follows; if their weight is optimal, of course.

I'm reminded of the episode of M*A*S*H where Hawkeye and B.J. mess with Winchester's head by replacing his uniforms with ones that are slightly too small, then a little bit big etc. "Tomorrow, he gets taller..."

They forced cat to revert to liquid state. Good thing they didn't force him into gas.

I have a super gangly pair of 10 month old rescue kittens. Pretzel in particular is so chill and relaxed. He's actually difficult to pick up because he spends half his life napping with this completely blissed out look on his face. I go to move him out of a chair or something and stays all limp, liquidy and totally zen. I strive to be more like Pretzel in life.

If the head fits, the body fits. Whiskers are an early warning system.

If this one gets that bored, perhaps it's time for a new furry friend!
