My Brother And I Recreated Childhood Photos As A Gift To Our Mom On Her 50th Birthday
49Kviews
My mom had always wanted for me and my brother to recreate photos from our childhood. So we decided to spend one freezing February afternoon recreating 9 photos that she had proudly displayed throughout the house (there were hundreds to choose from!).
We printed them onto a large canvas and surprised her with them at her 50th birthday party in front of all the family and friends. If you get a chance to do something similar – do it! It was a lot of fun trying to recreate our youth – a gift that our Mom will treasure for many years to come.
In addition to that, it was fun recreating these photos considering the fact that my younger brother (by 2.5 years) is now much taller than me.
23 years later – Mum used to use a bed-sheet for the backdrop, so we did the same!
Unfortunately it’s not the same blanket
Same lounge – different sofa!
Same wall!
Same conifers – just much taller (as is my younger brother)
Same garden – new fence!
This was February and freezing

Amanda, go to the 3 dots by your name. It gives you the option to edit or delete.
@buslady: for some reason I only get the option to report my own comment, my app is crazy... but thanks for the info, will keep checking on future updates!
Now there are two sons any mom would be proud of. What a magnificent pair. <3
