Two years ago, we talked about Georgian artist Irakli Nadar who creates incredible digital paintings that are extremely realistic. Today, we want to showcase the newest digital artworks of this talented artist.
Unlike many artists who bet on playfulness and even surrealism, Irakli prefers to perfect himself in hyper-realism techniques that bring his art to the most amazing optics. The use of textures, lights, and shadows make his digital art an amazing vista that deserves full attention.
My main goal is to be less dependent on reference but also to maintain my personal style and the realistic drawings that go along with it. I like to experiment with different styles and drawing ideas, but I don't see myself changing since I believe that an artist should do whatever he or she is good at. [...] I've spent years studying the human face and portrait drawings, and it would be careless to abandon all of that on a whim - says the artist (h/t: voxgroovy.is).
Scroll down and see the amazingly realistic art for yourself!

The realist artist does not use "living models," he uses photographs as a basis and likes to render the finest details by trying in some of her works to faithfully replicate what he sees.
That fringe! And the background... I'm v jealous of this artist's skills :)
And on the next article we can see the women who want to look like those "perfect" and unrealistic representations of what women "should" look like in ideal case. Stop things like these or don't be surprised by the outcome. -sigh-
The eyes are too large, the lips too plush, and they almost all have that empty expression asking "Do I look alright?" The result is something like infantilized pin-ups. However, they are very well executed. I have seen plenty of actual photos that have been badly Photoshopped and ended up looking less realistic than these paintings. If the artist could find it in him to move on to painting realistic people in photo-realism, then the result could be marvelously interesting. These are not.
I'll probably get downvoted for this, but can we stop celebrating this type of "ultra realistic" art? I'm not saying it's easy making those, but mainly it just takes time. It requires relatively little artistic skill. It's just meticulously copying an image. Using single strands of hair, bright lighting on skin etc. to trick the eyes. Drawing/painting after a live model, or from memory, is a whole other animal. (I am an artist myself, not just whatever-splaining)
These are the types of pictures that cause such anxiety in young girls. They look like the worst product of the male gaze.
Photo realism makes no sense and the market for it is so over saturated.
The eyes are wonderful, only they make me believe this is digital painting!
These are beautiful :) It's important to remember the line between art and reality. Everyone is criticising the artist over the unrealistic aspects of these paintings. But you have to remember they are paintings. Let artists be artists, people.
😲WOW. JUST WOW 😲. These are just AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!! You are just so talented. These are Beautiful.💖💖💖💖💖👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
