Real estate agents are the keepers of the keys - many keys. They get to see unique homes of all shapes and sizes, from modest to mansion, along with some truly interesting architectural choices and design ideas. Just like with fashion, everyone has their own idea of what works or not, and there are bound to be some design fails along the way - and real estate agents get a front-row seat to the madness.

Agent Venessa Van Winkle wanted to share just how weird and random the interior design of some houses are, so she called on her fellow home sellers to share photos with her of the bad, the ugly, and the bizarre. Scroll down below to look at these unbelievable home designs, and don't forget to upvote your fave funny pictures!

This is an art piece done by Makoto Egashira. She uses floral carpet to make sculptures, her work is amazing. Please check out her art, support the artist instead of just believing the photo.

I would hazard a guess that you don't live in a room like this, you rent it by the hour.

This actually looks like a good idea. It removes that little line of light the peaks through the curtains.

Or have a step-ladder or the kind of stairs that you buy for dogs to climb onto really high beds...

Doesn't everyone want a mantel over the bathroom sink that makes the mirror so high only a giant can see in?

very unclear on the decorating aspects. I can see the homeowner telling the contractor how he wanted it done, you know, to give the place a little class. The contractor didn't understand the vision, which meant the side posts of the sink should have gone to the floor and the baseboard stop against it. In this instance, the sink should have been pulled away from the wall so the faucet would have space, then it would all line up, with the eye level mirror above what becomes the mantle/shelf for toiletries.

Y'all are silly. That's not a sink for water. Fire comes out when you turn the handle. And they even have hot fire and cold fire!

Well, OK, let's that the owner loves the beautiful piece of wood that once actually framed a fireplace in that spot, which was not originally a bathroom . . . nope. Gotta go with "you could have done better".

Too cheap to buy a regular shelf and used what they had or poor decorating choices?

It's not a frame, guys; it's a mantel. Be true to historical designs, especially where fire was meant to be.

I once knew a family who had natural gas on their property. You could set fire to the water coming out of the faucet. So . . . a fireplace surround might . . .

I wouldn't have much of a problem with this if the mantle legs went all the way to the floor- I get that something was necessary to compensate for the lack i had a sink like this and lack of counter space was extremely irritating...

Somewhere in England, an estate agent is painting that fire surround white and calling it "shabby chic"

I don't see what's that bad about it? It's a bathroom, you can put blinds on the windows and there's appropriate bath mats preventing slipping

Those prints were very popular in the 80-ties (well at least in my country). Had a similar design for wall paper in my teeny-weeny room back then!
