“Something Came Out Of Me”: Woman Warns Others About A Possible Yet Not Widely Known Menstrual Experience
Recently, 24-year-old labor and delivery nurse Madi Swegle, who goes by the handle @Sweglestory on TikTok, shared a menstrual experience she had that left her terrified.
In a video that has been viewed a whopping 6.7M times, Swegle explained her cycle started as usual, until the unusual symptoms became almost unbearable. “Around 7pm last night my cramps suddenly got very very intense. This pain is the worst pain I’ve honestly felt my entire life,” the woman said.
The TikToker said she thought it was just “a normal awful period,” and you can see how, since our society has normalized severe period pains as normal.
But it couldn’t be further from the truth, when the symptoms soon turned into a traumatizing experience that left her utterly terrified and in disbelief.

It turned out, Swegle’s menstrual condition is not that rare as many women said they have experienced that
Many women also appreciated Swegle for sharing her story and were shocked to find out about the condition they never knew existed
I applaud this women for speaking out about this. Our society needs to stop acting like periods are gross and not to be talked about.
I personally think it is kind of gross, but that is not an excuse to not talk about it. I agree about applauding this woman. If this had happened to me and I didn't know what it was, I would have fainted. (And I have a condition where I could faint and then I could just die.)

Omg I googled it. I would freak out if that came out of me. But more scary is the comments about Dr.s and ERs not knowing what it is. It sounds like something someone might show up in the emergency room for.
No, because both women and doctors are conditioned to ignore/doubt it if it’s period related.

I've had this happen a few times in my life of cycles. Luckily I'm done as of last Feb. menopause over done. A few were intact and some were chunks so to say. The pain. The pain. It's like your tail bone is being shoved and broken inside you from the cramps. The cramps as literally one continuous shredding feeling to your belly button. Yes you want to vomit. Because you also want to poo and pee too. I didn't know of the heat pad trick so I would curl in a ball an wait for the blob to extricate itself. The first time was around my 20s. A few in my thirties. And one in my late 40s. I started menopause about 45. I'm 53 now so it ended at 52. It needs to be taught. Because if someone is sexually activate it can look like a miscarriage. And scare them horribly. They can think it's a miscarriage and they can't carry a child. If it happens try to get it into a baggie to bring to a dr to examine and explain everything you can. Better to know than not.
