Did you ever notice that the brain tends to retain the most random information instead of the one you actually need? For instance, how come I can recite Baby Got Back word by word, but can't possibly force my brain to remember my postcode? I'm sure I'm not the only one and this thread that recently went viral on Twitter proves just that. When one person asked, "What’s the most random fact you know?", people delivered. Some of the facts are lesser-known than the others, some you may have heard already - nonetheless, we still found them quite amusing to read. I’m not saying there aren’t extremely strong women out there and good for them, but this post is nonsensical. So one woman in one weight class is stronger than the strongest man in that same weight class. IN ONE CLASS. The strongest men in the world generally weigh 300-400 pounds. By the poster’s logic if a woman got to that size she’d be as strong or stronger. It’s simply not correct and it’s not sexist to say so...
Just walking into the room where I had the thought usually does it for me. Generally, the reason that something in the room was reminding me to get/do something in the first place. I might forget what when I enter a different room, but when I walk back (normally, not backwards) the reason is still there and I'm reminded again.
I tell you it works! It's my little helper all the time.

Every single store has this effect on me. MUST bring a list, because I'm not going to go all the way back home to remember what I went to the store for.
My daughter had a very good explanation for that: Maybe you rushed too fast out of the room and the thought remained in the room. That's why you have to go back, so the thought has a chance of getting back into your head.
I'll have to see if this works when I go to the bathroom again. At times I fo4rget till I pee on myself.

I do this all the time. My coworkers think I'm nuts. I walk through the door and forget why they think that. Then I am on the stairs and recall the best comeback ever. Walk back into the room and forget it.
this is good. i will actively try to forget something and hope i remember this trick in time....yeah, ok.
I must try this, the only problem is I'll need a trick to remember this trick.
If someone is annoying you interupt them with a random question. They'll answer the question and then most likely forget what they were talking about.

Book recommendation": The-Know-It-All: One Man's Humble Request to become the Smartest Person in the World by AJ Jacobs. In it the author reads the entire Encyclopedia Brittanica and gives you lots of bits of information and it is very funny and interesting.
The little bit of extra skin on your elbow is called a wenis and if you pinch and squeeze as hard as you can in the right place it barely/won’t hurt because it has fewer pain detectors.
Kids in middle school always would say let me see your weenus and then it got old...

Did you know that ancient Greece or Rome (I cant remember which) had statues with heads that could be taken off and switched with a different one? I don’t remember why they did it tho.

Pressure on the fingers from the baby touching, and their surroundings create what are called "friction ridges", the faint lines you see on your fingers and toes.
Most "fish" species are more closely related to land animal species than to each other. It's kinda like every dna type evolved a land version and a sea version i guess?
it's rather that all bony fish or Ostheichthyes are more closely related to all land-dwelling vertebrates (because those evolved from the former) than they are to cartilaginous fish or Chondrichthyes
